Manage network invitations, content access, and brand relationships
Accept, reject, resend, cancel, and edit brand network invitations in your Business Account, update content access, and switch between connected brands.
The Network table in your Business Account lists every brand relationship and invitation your organization has. From it, you track invitation status and partnership history, control who can access your content, and expand access as partnerships grow.
Each row's status decides which actions its menu offers. To send a new invitation, see Invite a partner brand and set content access. For how Network fits with the rest of Genuin, see Network: what it does and where to start.
Open the Network table
Go to Manage > Network, then select Retail Brands, Consumer Brands, or Media & Entertainment Brands.
With no relationships yet, the tab shows the Get Started to Build Your Network panel. It has an intro video, Explore use cases and Learn More links, and the tab's add button. If the list fails to load, you see an error state instead.
| Status | Meaning | Actions in the three-dot menu |
|---|---|---|
| Active | Invitation accepted and relationship established | View Details, including content access and sponsorship history |
| Invite Sent | Waiting for the other brand to act | View Details, Resend Invite, Cancel Invite |
| Invite Received | Waiting for your review | View Details, where you accept or reject it |
| Rejected | Invitation declined | View Details, and Edit Brand for the brand that sent it; see Edit a rejected invitation |
Each relationship shows under the tab it was created from, for both the inviting brand and the invited brand.
Respond to an invitation you received
When another brand invites your organization into its network, the row shows Invite Received.
Email is the only notification channel for network invitations. It covers invitations sent, resent, and received, added recipients, acceptances, and rejections.
Review the invitation
- Go to Manage > Network.
- Find the invitation.
- Click the three-dot menu.
- Select View Details.
The invitation details page shows the brand information, relationship type, requested content access, shared content access, and invitation history.
You can't change content access on a received invitation. You accept or reject it as sent.
Accept an invitation
- Click Accept.
- Review the agreement.
- Confirm acceptance.
A confirmation notification appears, and the relationship status changes to Active. Both organizations can now collaborate.
For example, a publisher receives an invitation from a retailer, reviews the relationship details, and accepts it. The relationship becomes active immediately.
Reject an invitation
If the relationship isn't appropriate, reject it:
- Open the invitation.
- Click Reject.
- Confirm your decision.
A notification confirms the rejection, and the relationship status changes to Rejected.
Manage invitations you sent
Rows with the status Invite Sent are waiting for the other brand. Click the row's three-dot menu to choose View Details, Resend Invite, or Cancel Invite.
View details
View Details shows the brand information, relationship type, content access configuration, invitation history, and status changes. Use it to review pending relationships.
Resend an invitation
Resend an invitation when the recipient hasn't responded.
- Click the three-dot menu.
- Select Resend Invite.
- Add or remove recipient email addresses.
- Click Send.
A confirmation message appears.
You can resend an invitation within the invitation validity period. The invitation can go to several email addresses, and you can remove existing recipients before you send.
Cancel an invitation
Cancel an invitation when it's no longer needed. You can cancel a pending invitation any time before the other brand accepts.
- Click the three-dot menu.
- Select Cancel Invite.
- Confirm the cancellation.
Genuin removes the invitation from the active invitation list, and a confirmation notification appears.
Canceled isn't a status. The row is removed from the Network table altogether.
Edit a rejected invitation
Rejected invitations stay visible for historical tracking. Both brands see the Rejected status, and the actions depend on whose listing the row is in:
| Whose listing | Available actions |
|---|---|
| Recipient's listing | View Details only, to review the original invitation and its history |
| Initiator's listing | View Details, and Edit Brand to update the invitation and send it again |
The initiator can edit the brand details at any time with Edit Brand.
- Click the three-dot menu.
- Select Edit Brand. The Edit Brand panel opens.
You can update the Brand Relationship, Contact Emails, and Content Access. The Brand Handle and Website URL stay locked, to prevent accidental changes to the brand's identity.
For example, a brand rejects an invitation because the relationship type was wrong. After the cooling period, the initiating brand updates the relationship type and resends the invitation.
Update content access
As a partnership grows, you might need to expand access. Within View Details:
- Select Edit Content Access.
- Add or remove Communities and Social Media Handles.
- Click Next.
The updated permissions apply immediately.
For example, a partner relationship starts with access to one community. Later, the brands collaborate more closely, and an administrator grants access to more communities.
The relationship type decides whether brands can share individual communities, several communities, or all communities. Social media access covers approved social media handles and the imported content associated with them. Social handles become available after the invitation is accepted.
You can add social handles to an active relationship at any time. A handle you add later shows up in the listing, View Details, and Integrated Social, with no need to recreate the relationship. If you invited a brand without a brand handle, you can add the handle later the same way.
Automatic access rules
| Relationship | Access rules |
|---|---|
| Holding Company | Automatically receives access to all communities and all social media handles. Newly added communities and social handles are shared automatically. |
| House Brand | The holding company gets access to all the house brand's communities and social handles, including new ones. What the holding company shares back is optional. |
| Partner | Access is controlled manually. New communities and social handles become available for selection but aren't shared automatically. |
| Aspire to Partner | No content access is granted automatically. You configure permissions explicitly. |

View sponsorship history
The details view of an active relationship also shows the sponsorship activity between the two brands:
- Sponsorship requests sent.
- Sponsorship requests received.
- Sponsorship status history.
You see the full business relationship in one place.
To start a sponsorship with a brand in your network, see Create and send paid partnership proposals to network brands.
Filter brand relationships
- Go to Manage > Network.
- Click Filter.
You can combine these filters for more precise results:
| Filter | Options |
|---|---|
| Brands Destination | Search by brand name |
| Status | Active, Invite Sent, Invite Received, Rejected |
| Relationship | Partner, Holding Company, House Brand, Aspire to Partner |
You can also search the table by brand name or handle. The table is paginated, and its columns can't be sorted.
Switch between connected brands
When a Holding Company or House Brand relationship becomes active, you can move between the connected brands without signing out:
- Click the brand logo in the top-left corner.
- Select Switch Brand.
- Choose the brand you want to manage.
A house brand appears in the switcher only once its relationship is Active. While it's Invite Sent or Rejected, the holding company can't switch into it. Once it's active, the holding company has admin access to the house brand.
Limitations
- Seven-day cooling period. You can't resend a rejected invitation immediately. A 7-day cooling period applies before you can send a new one.
- One holding company. A brand network supports only one Holding Company relationship.
- Freed by rejection or cancellation. Only an active or pending Holding Company relationship counts toward that limit. A rejected or canceled one doesn't.
- Locked identity fields. You can't edit a brand's handle or website URL. You can update content access on an active relationship.
- Social handles after acceptance. A brand's social handles become available only after it accepts the invitation.
- Automatic Partner classification. Existing Genuin relationships are classified as Partner relationships automatically.
