Set moderation, roles, and brand safety
When you finish, every post, comment, and video on your network passes rules you chose before anyone sees it, and advertisers have a brand-safety profile to buy against. Your part takes about 10 minutes.
Before you begin
- A teammate with the Content role (see Invite your team and assign roles) who will own the queue.
What Octo does
- Octo proposes a moderation baseline (Standard or Strict) from your company type, audience, and model, and drafts your community guidelines from the brand context and your existing policies.
- Octo drafts your brand safety profile (GARM-aligned) from your content and your industry, including competitive exclusions it infers from your catalog and partners, and proposes the roles that review the queue.
- Octo runs the queue: it moderates against the baseline, clears what is clearly fine, and brings you only what needs a human call, within the SLA.
What you approve
- The baseline, the guidelines, the brand safety profile, and the exclusion list. Edit any line.
- Choose Approve controls. The queue starts, the weekly digest starts, and buyers can price against your profile (see Programmatic: Genuin Ad Server or your partner ad server and Marketplace: list packages and transact with demand partners).
Make Octo smarter
- Add the policies, legal constraints, and past incidents Octo should know about under Brand → Context → Policies; it moderates and drafts guidelines in line with them.
Need help? Octo is available 24/7 in BCC and on every page of these docs. Ask it in plain language; when the answer needs a person, Octo brings the right account manager, developer, or Ops engineer into the same thread and stays on it until it is solved. Every Business Account owner has this, on every plan (see 24/7 Octo-enabled support: how Octo brings in account managers, developers, and Ops).
What you get
- A moderation queue with SLA timers and a weekly digest.
- A brand safety profile that raises the floor price buyers will pay (see Programmatic: Genuin Ad Server or your partner ad server) and that Marketplace listings carry (see Marketplace: list packages and transact with demand partners).
