Community Wall Placement
A wall of creator and member posts organized by group, with reactions, replies, and pinned posts, rendered inside your pages.
The Community Wall brings your social experience onto your own pages. Creators and members post into groups, and viewers react and reply without leaving your site. Every post passes the moderation and brand safety rules you set before anyone sees it.
Octo, Genuin's Supervised Intelligence interface in your Business Account, proposes this capability when it finds a fit on your sites and apps. It completes the steps under Set it up from your brand context. Nothing goes live until you approve it. It's part of Onsite, and Communities and groups explains how groups organize the posts the wall shows.
When to use it
Use it in member and fan areas, support communities, post-purchase pages, and app home feeds.
| Page type | Recommended setup |
|---|---|
| Member or fan area | The wall with Live & Q&A |
| App home feed | The wall with Shorts from the Vertical Video Player |
| Post-purchase or confirmation | The wall alone, full width, to turn a buyer into a member |
How it works
- Posts are organized by group, with reactions, replies, and pinned posts. Creators post under your creator programs.
- Each group's Who can post in this Group decides who posts: All community members, or Group Members only (group members and community admins). In a private community, the second option is Invite-only: only the community members you invite or approve.
- Members post through auto login, so a viewer signed in to your site is signed in to Genuin too.
- Hosts and Contributors post straight to the feed. Posts from Member creators reach the moderation queue first.
- The wall shows every group in the community, or you can restrict it to one group.
- Each group sets Who can see this Group. Everyone includes people without an account, and Group Members only limits it to group members and community admins.
- You pin a post with the pin icon in the group's Posts list, under Manage > Groups. A community can pin up to 2 groups, and pinning a third replaces the oldest pinned group.
- Joining a private community or group sends a request. Admins accept or reject it under Moderate > User Requests, or Auto Accept accepts it without review.
Set it up
Octo proposes the placement with these steps already done. You review the result and confirm it.

- Turn on auto login so members can post. Learn how in Bring your audience in with auto login and SSO.
- Set the moderation baseline and brand safety before launch. Learn how in Set moderation and brand safety.
Settings
| Setting | Options |
|---|---|
| Experience | Community |
| Group | Every group, or one group only |
| Group posting | All community members, or Group Members only (Invite-only in a private community) |
| Comment visibility | The Comment toggle, per placement under Expand View or per embed under Enable Engagement Tools |
| Reactions | In-Feed Reaction under Settings > Player Controls |
| Moderation baseline | Standard or Strict |
Set comment visibility and reactions per page type or per placement, without code, as Player Controls and Feed Settings describes. The moderation baseline and the brand safety profile apply to every post on the wall.
What it reports
Reports > Engagement shows these measures, filterable by experience. Measure engagement explains how participation is counted.
- Posts and comments: counted per thousand members.
- Participation: posts and comments per thousand members, combined as one measure.
- Moderation load: the items that reach your moderation queue, which runs with SLA timers and a weekly digest.
Add it to your site
The Web SDK renders this placement today. Embed the Genuin Web SDK on your website covers loading the script, and Add a Genuin placement to your website covers the placement and style IDs. Customize the Genuin video player sets sizes, tile layouts, and the profile menu.
Create a community creates a community from your own systems, with its type, access settings, and first members.
The placement and community calls in the Business Account API are proposed, not live. Live API today and the Business Account API roadmap maps what you can call now to what's planned.
