Captions, Titles, and Brand Voice

Every clip gets captions, a title, a caption line, and topic tags drafted in the voice set in your brand kit; your edits train the drafts.

Every video Studio makes needs words around it. Studio drafts them in the voice you chose for your brand, so a clip arrives ready to review. Your edits and approvals then shape every draft that follows.

Octo, Genuin's Supervised Intelligence interface in your Business Account, proposes this capability when it finds a fit on your sites and apps. It completes the steps under Set it up from your brand context. Nothing goes live until you approve it. It's part of Studio, and Studio: produce brand video from podcasts, long-form, and catalogs explains what Studio drafts for each input.

When to use it

It's always on, for every clip Studio makes. Your first few dozen approvals matter most, because they train the drafts that follow.

How it works

  • Studio reads your public writing, such as site copy, podcast descriptions, and social captions. It proposes a voice: plain, warm, expert, or playful.
  • You see three sample captions written in that voice before you approve it.
  • For each clip, Studio drafts captions, a title, a caption line, and topic tags in that voice.
  • Brand guidelines you add under Build > Brand Guidelines or Settings > Brand Guidelines apply too. Each guideline has a title of up to 50 characters and a description of up to 160. Captions, titles, and partner-facing copy follow them.
  • Drafts land in Studio > Drafts. Each edit and approval trains Studio's preferences.
  • After a few dozen approvals, most drafts need no edits.

In your Business Account, Brand Persona captures your brand's tone, voice, and positioning in your own words. You find it under Build > Brand Persona and Settings > Brand Persona, which share the same content.

  • Mandatory fields include Mission, Values, and Do's and Don'ts, and each text field has a maximum length.
  • Suggested persona statements can come prefilled, and you can edit or clear them.
  • You can upload a supporting document as a .csv file.

Set it up

Octo proposes your brand voice with these steps already done. You review the result and confirm it.

  1. Set the voice and one-line description in your brand kit. Learn how in Set your brand identity: name, logo, colors, and voice.
  2. Edit drafts in Studio > Drafts. Change a title, a caption line, or a tag before you approve.
  3. Approve drafts as they come in. Studio learns from each approval.

Octo fills these from your brand context, and you change them when you review the proposal. To change the voice, pick a different one in your brand kit, and the sample re-renders in seconds.

What it reports

  • Edit rate over time: the share of drafts you change before you approve them, tracked over time.

Studio measures it from the drafts you edit and approve in Studio > Drafts. Expect it to fall, because after a few dozen approvals most drafts need no edits.

Connect your systems

The live API covers the communities, groups, and posts your captioned clips land in.

The brand kit and Studio calls in the Business Account API are proposed, not live. Live API today and the Business Account API roadmap maps what you can call now to what's planned.
