Activate monetization and see your first revenue
When you finish, demand is serving into your placements, revenue appears in Reports, and you know where to look to raise it. Your part takes about 5 minutes to switch on; first revenue typically shows the same day.
Before you begin
- Agreement signed and sellers verified (see Sign your agreement and authorize sellers).
What Octo does
- Octo proposes which demand sources to switch on, in what order, from your model and agreement: Genuin network first (revenue from the first day), then brand partners and packages, programmatic through the ad server, commerce, subscriptions.
- Octo turns them on when you approve, watches delivery for the first day, and brings you the first revenue report with the three changes it recommends to raise it (a floor, a placement, a feed).
- From here Octo runs the network on a cadence through Canvas (see Canvas: run your network with growth and monetization agents): it proposes, you approve, and anything you have marked as trusted it does on its own and reports.
What you approve
- The demand sources and their order.
- Choose Approve and activate. Revenue appears in Reports by placement, partner, and source; payouts follow the calendar from Sign your agreement and authorize sellers; creator shares flow to Creator Wallets (see Revenue reporting, payouts, and the Creator Wallet).
- The playbook for your business, which Octo will now walk you through at your pace.
Make Octo smarter
- The approvals you give become Octo's standing rules; set which kinds of changes it may make without asking under Octo → Autonomy, from "ask every time" to "do and report".
Need help? Octo is available 24/7 in BCC and on every page of these docs. Ask it in plain language; when the answer needs a person, Octo brings the right account manager, developer, or Ops engineer into the same thread and stays on it until it is solved. Every Business Account owner has this, on every plan (see 24/7 Octo-enabled support: how Octo brings in account managers, developers, and Ops).
What you get
- Live revenue by placement, partner, and demand source.
- Payouts on the calendar from Sign your agreement and authorize sellers; creator shares flow automatically to Creator Wallets (see Revenue reporting, payouts, and the Creator Wallet).
- The playbook for your business, which is where these docs take you next.
