Canvas Growth Fleet
Trend scout, Producer, Editor, Scheduler, and Community manager agents that keep the library growing and the community healthy on your cadence.
The Growth fleet is one of the two agent fleets in Canvas. Its agents watch trends in your topics, brief Studio, and keep the library growing on your cadence. They also run Quests and answer and surface members.
This capability arrives as a proposal when your network needs it, filled in from your brand context, and goes live when you confirm it. It's part of Studio, and Canvas: run your network with growth and monetization agents explains how both fleets work.
When to use it
Use it if you want your network to grow without daily production work. Set the cadence to match your scale.
| Network | Example cadence |
|---|---|
| Creator | Three pieces per week |
| Company | Weekly |
| Publisher | Daily, with Studio production lines per brand |
| Enterprise production line | Roughly 100 pieces per line per day |
How it works
- You set goals, guardrails, and a cadence. Canvas plans, produces, publishes, and distributes within them, and every action is logged and reversible.
- The fleet briefs Studio, so the library keeps growing without anyone opening the Inbox. With Canvas scheduling, every new episode becomes clips through Clip Generation from Long-form.
- The Community builder at the center of Canvas keeps groups healthy: content mix, creator participation, and moderation load.
- The Community builder also reads the Creators report to decide when to run the next Quest, as Quests and Creator Programs describes.
- Reports > Network shows which groups travel best, and Canvas uses it to decide what to produce next.
- With Canvas scheduling, the launch checklist accepts 10 published videos instead of 30.
Set it up
Octo proposes the Growth fleet with these steps already done. You review the result and confirm it.
- Set one Growth goal and a cadence under Canvas > Goals. Learn how in Canvas: run your network with growth and monetization agents.
- Set guardrails: your brand safety profile, topics to avoid, partner exclusions, and approval mode.
- Choose Start, then read the daily brief Canvas posts under Canvas > Journal.
Settings
| Setting | What it controls |
|---|---|
| Goal | The Growth target: watch time, members, or reach |
| Cadence | How many pieces per thematic line per day |
| Guardrails | Brand safety profile, topics to avoid, partner exclusions, and approval mode |
Approval mode is auto, review, or review only for paid content. Canvas limits are set by plan, and Plans explained: Free, Self-serve, and Enterprise shows what each plan includes.
What it reports
- Journal: the daily brief of what Canvas did and why, under Canvas > Journal.
- Library growth: how many pieces join your library over time.
- Engagement lift: the difference in engagement between viewers who saw your placements and a matched holdout.
Measure engagement: watch time, lift, and cohorts explains how lift is counted.
Connect your systems
Canvas runs in Brand Control Center and needs no code. The live API covers the communities, groups, and posts the fleet fills.
- Create a community creates a community under your brand, with its type, access settings, and first members.
- Create a group in a community adds a group with its visibility and posting rules.
- Post a video to a group uploads a video and its thumbnail, then posts it to a group with a caption.
The Canvas calls in the Business Account API are proposed, not live. Live API today and the Business Account API roadmap maps what you can call now to what's planned.
