Sign your agreement and authorize sellers

Screen. Sign the contract in onboarding; the terms are summarised on-screen and the signed copy lands in Billing.

When you finish, your agreement is executed, your payout details are verified, and the files that tell the advertising ecosystem who may sell your inventory are live. Your part takes about 15 minutes; enterprise signatures depend on your signatory.

Before you begin

What Octo does

  1. Octo sends the agreement to the signer, tracks it, and files the executed copy under Monetize → Agreement.
  2. Octo generates the seller authorization: the ads.txt lines for every domain and app-ads.txt lines for every app (including intermediary lines for aggregators) and the sellers.json entry; where your DNS, CMS, or repository is connected it places them and verifies them nightly; otherwise it hands the exact lines to your Developer.
  3. Octo drafts your blocklists from your brand safety profile and your exclusions.
Screen. Set up your wallet: credits and cash balance for the Scale plan, with payouts and top-ups in one place.

What you approve

  • The signature (yours or your signatory's); Octo cannot sign for you.
  • Your payout details, entered by you under Monetize → Payouts; Octo verifies them and sets the payout calendar.
  • The ads.txt and sellers.json placement and the blocklists. Approve, and buyers can validate your inventory from the next crawl.

Make Octo smarter

  • Connect your DNS or CMS once; Octo keeps ads.txt and sellers.json correct as domains, apps, and partners change.

Need help? Octo is available 24/7 in BCC and on every page of these docs. Ask it in plain language; when the answer needs a person, Octo brings the right account manager, developer, or Ops engineer into the same thread and stays on it until it is solved. Every Business Account owner has this, on every plan (see 24/7 Octo-enabled support: how Octo brings in account managers, developers, and Ops).

What you get

  • An executed agreement, downloadable from Monetize → Agreement.
  • Verified payout details and a payout calendar.
  • Seller authorization that buyers can validate, which is what lets demand partners bid.
