Offsite: what it does and where to start
Offsite packages your video as IAB-standard tags for any media plan, DSP, or partner ad server, measured on return on ad spend and attributed back to your network.
Offsite takes your video past your own properties. Each tag uses a standard format, so any DSP, SSP, ad server, or partner publisher can run it unchanged. A tag can carry a fixed clip, or a feed that Maya fills at serve time from the destination page and the viewer's cohort. Conversions from that exposure come back to your attribution report.
You don't build each tag from scratch. Each capability below arrives as a proposal when your network needs it, filled in from your brand context, and goes live when you confirm it. Read Offsite: generate IAB-standard tags for your media plan first for the full model.
Get started
- Upload your videos or connect your social profile. Tags draw from your library, so it needs content first.
- Add brand partners and demand partners. Invite the agencies and buyers who will run your tags.
- Serve your first ad. Run your posts as ad creative on a partner page, or render an IAB unit from a tag.
Choose a tag
Pick the tag that matches the inventory you're buying. Ad tag reference: VAST, IAB sizes, and macros lists every format, size, and macro.
| Tag | What it serves | Where it fits |
|---|---|---|
| VAST Video Tag | Your video as a VAST 4.2 tag, with viewability verification included | Video media plans, CTV, and partner publishers' video players |
| JavaScript Display Tag | The Genuin player in an iframe-safe wrapper at any IAB display size | Display plans and partner sites that sell banners rather than video |
| Dynamic Feed Tag | Videos Maya picks at serve time from the page's context and the viewer's cohort | Broad reach buys and always-on presence on partner sites |
| Audience Extension Tag | A tag aimed at one of your segments on exchange inventory, at programmatic CPMs | Commerce and retail networks reaching their own cohorts elsewhere |
Fill tags with creative
- Creator Content as Ad Creative: community and creator posts run as ads, with each creator's consent captured on the post.
- Adaptation: Studio re-cuts a published video for each IAB size or a partner's brand kit.
- Generative Destination on a Genuin Domain: a verified brand destination that Studio and Canvas keep fresh, for tags to land on.
Respect consent and measure
- Macro and Consent Passthrough: click, impression, viewability, and consent macros on every tag. Without consent, the tag renders without personalization.
- Offsite Attribution Postbacks: conversions from offsite exposure report to your DSP and to your own attribution report.
- Attribution: links exposures to clicks, purchases, and offline sales, and forecasts conversions for each package.
- Unified identity: joins offsite exposure to the same viewer's onsite activity, under consent.
Build it
Tags run in the buyer's tools, so most offsite work needs no code on your side. To render IAB units in your own app, use the iAB Standard Size Experience SDK for iOS, Android, or React Native. Player card sizes and IAB footprint spec gives the space each size takes on a page.
The tag, creative, and conversion calls in the Business Account API are proposed, not live. Live API today and the Business Account API roadmap maps what you can call now to what's planned.
