Marketers & growth: questions and answers

The person responsible for audience, content performance, campaigns, and brand. 15 questions, grouped by stage.

Set up

What brand assets do I need, and where do they show up?

A square logo, a wordmark, primary and accent colors, a typeface, a one-line description, and a voice. They render on every player, email, partner listing, and Studio caption.

Build

How should I structure communities and groups?

One community per brand, five to twelve groups named the way the audience thinks (Episodes, Clips, Behind the scenes; or your top categories), each tied to a grid context so Maya can match it to pages.

Which video experience belongs on which page?

Shorts on content pages, Shoppable on product and category pages, Community in member or post-purchase areas, Live & Q&A for events and drops. A placement can allow more than one and Maya chooses per viewer.

How do I get 30 videos without a production team?

Connect sources (podcast, YouTube, catalog), select up to ten long-form items, and let Studio cut, caption, and group the clips; approve in Drafts. Canvas keeps the library growing on your cadence.

Grow

How do I personalize the feed and how much control do I have?

Maya ranks by placement context, group, session continuity, cohorts, and your rules. You set exploration rate, freshness, repeat window, pinned slots, which cohorts may be used, and paid pacing per placement.

How do I bring creators, ambassadors, or customers into the content?

Invite them by email or creator link, assign a tier (Host, Contributor, Member creator), and run a Quest: a brief with a deadline and a reward. Entries pass moderation and rewards settle into Creator Wallets.

How do I reach people who are not on my site?

Three ways: distribute groups into partner placements across the Genuin network, generate IAB-standard offsite tags for your media plan, or have Genuin run your brand as an Extended O&O destination.

How do I run a campaign with a partner onsite and offsite at once?

What is the difference between endemic, non-endemic, and adjacent brand partners?

Endemic brands sell what your audience comes to you for and get the highest ranking weight and category-group Paid Partner Posts; adjacent brands complement your category and can place content at moderate weight; non-endemic brands want your audience but sell something else, so they buy Takeovers and audience extension rather than placing content.

What is the difference between posting on social platforms and distributing a feed on Genuin?

On a platform you rent reach you cannot measure or address afterward and the platform keeps the ad revenue. A distributed feed is yours: you choose its dimension (keywords, brands, categories, topics, page context) and where it runs across 7K+ apps and sites, the ads and sponsorships inside it pay you, and every view is attributed and addressable.

Monetize

How do I turn community content into ads without a rights problem?

Creators consent on their post; offsite tags can run that content as creative with attribution to the creator for the revenue share, and paid content always carries a disclosure label.

Measure

What engagement metrics should I report?

Watch time per user per minute, lift against a holdout, completion, follow rate, return rate, and participation, rolled up along the grid and filterable by cohort, experience, and source.

Can I prove the video caused the result?

Yes where a holdout exists: incrementality is the default model for Extended O&O and Paid Partner packages, and every placement keeps a standing holdout so lift is read directly.
