Rewards and Creator Programs
Rewards for members who share your content to their own social accounts, and creator programs for the people who make content for your network.
A creator program lets hosts, employees, partners, and fans make content for your network under rules you set. Rewards let you reward community members for sharing your content to their own social accounts. Genuin tracks the impressions those shares earn on each member's profile, and members are rewarded in their Wallet based on those impressions.
Octo, Genuin's Supervised Intelligence interface in your Business Account, proposes this capability when it finds a fit on your sites and apps. It completes the steps under Set it up from your brand context. Nothing goes live until you approve it. It's part of Studio, and Creator programs and Rewards explains creator tiers, Rewards, and the incentives that work.
When to use it
Use it to run a campaign, activate a community, or reach people beyond your network.
| Situation | How it helps |
|---|---|
| Campaign | A reward carries your campaign content to members' own social accounts, or the campaign runs as Paid Partner Posts inside groups |
| Community activation | Fans post for you, such as listener clips or posts from loyal customers |
| Reach beyond your network | Members share your content to their own social accounts, and Genuin tracks the impressions each member's shares earn |
How it works
- You set up rewards for your communities under Grow > Rewards in your Business Account, as Set up rewards for your communities describes.
- Members take on a reward and share your content to their own social accounts.
- Genuin tracks the impressions those shares earn on each member's profile.
- Members are rewarded in their Wallet based on those impressions, next to revenue share and tips. Members and creators withdraw on their own schedule.
- Offsite tags can also run a creator's posts on partner pages, with attribution to the creator for the revenue share.
Creator tiers set what each person can do:
| Tier | Can | Posts go |
|---|---|---|
| Host | Go live, pin, feature, and answer Q&A | Straight to feed |
| Contributor | Post to assigned groups | Straight to feed |
| Member creator | Post to open groups | Moderation queue first |
Member creators' posts go through moderation before they appear, as set in Set moderation and brand safety.
Set it up
Octo proposes a reward and the creators to invite, with these steps already done. You review the result and confirm it.
- In your Business Account, go to Grow > Rewards. Learn how in Creator programs and Rewards.
- Set up a reward for your community. Members who take it on share your content to their own social accounts.
- Invite creators with a tier and the groups they can post into, as Invite creators, hosts, and contributors describes.
In your Business Account, you add creators under Build > Add Users > Creators, by Email, Phone, Genuin id, or Import List. To add more later, click Add Creator under Manage > Users > Creators.
Select Creator Program Banner to show a Become a Creator banner on your brand's web presence.
Requests to become a creator arrive in Moderate > User Requests with the type Creator. To accept them without review, choose Creator in the Auto Accept dropdown.
Settings
| Setting | What it controls |
|---|---|
| Creator tier | What each creator can do and where their posts go |
| Creator share | The share percentage creators earn, set by tier or by group |
| Minimums and fees | The withdrawal terms members and creators see in their Wallet |
Creator tiers are part of Community Roles and Creator Tiers. Change the creator share under Monetize > Creator share, as Wallet and Revenue Share describes.
What it reports
Genuin tracks the impressions each member's shares earn on that member's profile. Members are rewarded in their Wallet based on those impressions.
Reports > Creators shows active creators, posts per creator, approval rate, and earned revenue. Revenue reporting, payouts, and the Wallet explains how rewards settle.
Connect your systems
Rewards and creator programs run in your Business Account. The live API covers the members and groups in your communities.
- Add members to a community adds existing accounts or phone numbers, or approves a pending join request.
- How Auto Login works turns a token from your backend into a signed-in member.
- Update a group and its members adds or removes members and changes a group's access settings.
- Create a community creates a community under your brand, with its type, access settings, and first members.
The reward and creator calls in the Business Account API are proposed, not live. Live API today and the Business Account API roadmap maps what you can call now to what's planned.
