Read My Website
Reads your website, or only the pages you allow, into your brand's knowledge, then refreshes your destination when the read is done.
When Read My Website runs, Octo, Genuin's Supervised Intelligence interface in Brand Control Center (BCC), reads your site's stories, events, and pages into your brand's knowledge. It's an Official Supervised Intelligence capability that Genuin publishes in the Capability Marketplace. It runs as a background job, and each run shows under Background Invocations.
When to use it
Use it to give Octo what your website says before other capabilities build on it. Build My Brand Structure drafts your categories, communities, and groups from this read. If only part of your site belongs in your brand's knowledge, list the pages Octo can read.
How it works
- You give Octo your website URL and your brand name. You can also list the only pages Octo reads.
- Octo reads the site into your brand's knowledge: its stories, events, and pages. By default, it reads up to 200 pages.
- Octo tracks the read and reports its status.
- When the read is done, Octo refreshes your destination, unless you turn that setting off.
- It uses Genuin's built-in tools only. Its card shows "No external tools", and Required models shows Default.
Add it to your brand
- In BCC, go to Marketplace > Marketplace.
- Search for Read My Website and click View and add on its Official card.
- Check Required tools and Required models, then click Add to My Intelligence Capabilities.
- On your copy under My Capabilities, click Enable in Intelligence.
If your brand already has a copy, the card shows Manage copy instead of View and add.
Approvals
Read My Website runs without an approval step.
