Configure Brand Control Center settings

Manage users and roles, brand elements, a white-label domain, and outbound notifications from the Settings module in Brand Control Center (BCC).

Settings is where you decide who can do what in BCC, how your hosted social experience looks, which domain it lives on, and how it reaches people. You can also monitor billing and invoices there. Learn more about plans, billing, and invoices.

Set up access before your team grows, so permissions are structured rather than shared informally. Settings is part of Control; for the rest of the product, see Control: what it does and where to start.

Manage users

Go to Settings > Manage Brand Users. From there, you can:

  • View all users in a list, with their email, role, and contact joining date.
  • Copy a user's email.
  • Send user invitations.

Owners and Admins can update roles and manage access across BCC. For a guided first setup, see Invite your team and assign roles.

Set up roles and permissions

Go to Settings > Manage User Roles to manage permission structures. BCC includes five default roles:

  • Owner
  • Admin
  • Content Manager
  • Brand Moderator
  • Viewer, with read-only access

Owners and Admins can create custom roles, assign granular permissions (view, edit, and create), and define access module by module. For example, you can give a Brand Moderator view, edit, and create access in the Moderation module only, with no broader administrative rights.

Manage User Roles describes each role and is where you add a custom role with + New Role.

Learn more about Business Account Roles and Scoped Roles.

Customize brand elements

Go to Settings > Brand Elements to:

  • Upload or update your logo.
  • Upload a favicon.
  • Configure brand colors.
  • Adjust typography.

These elements keep your social experience visually aligned with the rest of your brand. Learn more in Set your brand identity.

Brand Elements holds your favicon, profile logo, and banner, which you can upload or fetch from your brand URL.

Set up a white-label domain

White-labelling puts your hosted social experience on your own domain, such as community.yourbrand.com, instead of a Genuin URL. We recommend it, because it keeps search authority, traffic, and monetization under your own domain and keeps visitors inside your brand's site.

With white-labelling, the address bar shows your own domain instead of a Genuin URL.

Enter your domains in BCC

  1. Go to Getting Started > Publish Brand Community > White label Settings.
  2. Enter your production domain and your QA domain.
Step 2: White label Settings shows the CNAME steps and where to enter your white-label URL.

For the full white-label flow, see Point your domain to your hosted social experience.

Add the CNAME record

Use the CNAME record details Genuin provides.

  1. Sign in to your DNS provider and open its DNS management.
  2. Add a new CNAME record.
  3. For Host, enter the subdomain you chose, such as community.
  4. For Points to, enter your Genuin subdomain, such as brandname.begenuin.com.
  5. Save the record and wait for DNS propagation, which can take up to 48 hours.
  6. In White label Settings, click Verify Connection.
