Analyze device data in reports
Build a Brand Control Center report broken down by device, OS, and SDK dimensions, with the metrics, filters, and date range that match your goal.
Genuin captures device information automatically through its SDKs and web integrations. It aggregates the data and shows it in reporting dashboards in near real time. There, you can combine device data with content performance, monetization data, and audience segmentation.
Device reports show how people reach your social experience across platforms and environments. Use them to:
- Analyze how your audience splits by device, OS, and platform
- Optimize content and experiences for high-performing devices
- Improve app and web performance and engagement
- Refine monetization with better targeting and reporting
Device data is one of the data tools in Control; see Control: what it does and where to start. To set up device capture first, see Collect and manage device information.
Open a report
- Sign in to Brand Control Center (BCC).
- Go to Monetize > Programmatic > Dashboard, or to Analytics Dashboard if your setup uses it.
- Choose a report type: AdServer for monetization insights, Live Data, or Compare.
Add device dimensions
- In the report configuration panel, open Dimensions.

- Filter by content format, such as Display or Video.
- Apply the Revenue & Performance filter.
- Apply the Top Ad Sources and Top OS filters.
- Apply the Top Countries and Top Channels filters.
Read the device breakdown
Generate the report to see device-level breakdowns. Look for trends such as:
- Top-performing devices
- Platform-specific engagement patterns
- Revenue contribution by device
For the ad server reports in more depth, see Track programmatic ad performance.
Act on device trends
- Monitor device trends regularly to improve UI and UX.
- Prioritize high-traffic platforms when you roll out features.
- Use device insights to refine ad placements and formats.
- Combine device data with AI-driven analytics for a deeper view of your audience. You can ask questions about your reports in plain language with Supervised Intelligence's Ask.
Limitations
- Dimensions differ by integration. SDK and web integrations don't always offer the same device dimensions.
- Some granular data is restricted. Details such as the exact device model might be unavailable.
- Consent applies. Device data is available only where user consent and privacy settings allow it. Learn more about privacy and consent with zero-party data.
- Latency changes with load. Reporting latency changes with data volume and report configuration.
