How to Centrally Manage and Control All Video Linkouts in Brand Ecosystem?
Linkouts are powerful. They drive traffic, support campaigns, monetize attention, and connect your audience to the broader web. But without governance, they can also introduce risk, broken links, misaligned domains, compliance issues, or poor conversion performance.
Genuin’s Linkout Management gives brands full control over:
- What links are allowed
- Which domains can appear
- How links are styled
- When links appear
- How SDKs enforce your rules
- What gets blocked, and at what level
This guide walks you through the complete flow, from the Brand Control Center to SDK enforcement, using the exact logic implemented in the product.
Where Do I Manage Links?
Navigation: Brand Control Center > Manage > Links

The Links section is divided into:
- All Links (default view)
- Global Block List
- Custom Lists
- Filters (Blocked / Unblocked)
- Add New List
- Add Link
What You See in “All Links”
Each link displays:
- Full URL (never truncated)
- Associated posts
- In-Views
- Clicks
- CTR
- Added On
- Updated On
- Three-dot action menu: Edit Link or Block Link, (and converts to Unblock Link if the link is presently blocked)
Note: Sorting options for In-view, clicks, and CTR data are unavailable because this information is displayed directly from analytics.
How Does Genuin Decide Which Links Match a Post?
Genuin uses contextual matching to determine which links are most relevant to each video.
Each link displays a Match % indicator:
| Match % | Color |
|---|---|
| >95% | 🟢 Green |
| 90–95% | 🟡 Yellow |
| 80–90% | 🔴 Red |
Links are ordered from highest to lowest match rate.
Suggestions
When a new video is uploaded:
- The highest-matching link auto-suggest
- Up to 4 links maximum per post
- If more than 4 qualify, the top 4 highest matches are selected

When editing:
- Top 3 best matches appear in dropdown
- Match % is visible
- You can:
- Edit the link URL, link Title & Thumbnail
- Modify categories, topics, keywords (After Link Approved & Post Done)
Edits sync back to the All Links library.
How Do Link Buttons Work?
Each post can include a Call-to-Action Button.
Button Requirements
- Button URL: Required
- Button Text: Max 24 characters
- Toggle ON/OFF
- Same suggestion dropdown logic as links
- Uses same matching engine
Special Case: What Happens When the Only Link Is Blocked?
There is one important scenario to be aware of.
If:
- A post has only one link attached, and
- That same link is also being used as the Call-to-Action (CTA) button URL, and
- That link (or its domain) is later blocked from the Links section
Then:
The entire linkout configuration is automatically removed from that post.
Why does this happen?
Because once the link is blocked:
- It cannot appear in the link list
- It cannot be used as a button
- It cannot be displayed in the SDK
Since no alternative link exists on that post, the system removes the linkout entirely to maintain compliance with governance rules.
Example Scenario
Imagine:
- A product demo video has only one link attached:
www.partnerbrand.com/demo - That same link is also configured as the CTA button (“Watch Demo”)
- Later, the domain
partnerbrand.comis blocked at the domain level
Result:
- The link disappears from the post
- The CTA button disappears
- The post will now display with no linkout
This ensures that blocked domains are never exposed, even indirectly.

You can also edit the keywords here. Selecting to edit the keywords listed under "Category, Topic, and Keywords" will open a side drawer.
