Police in Jammu and Kashmir have claimed to have busted an “interstate and transnational terror module” linked to the proscribed outfits Jaish-e-Mohammad and Ansar Ghazwatul Hind (AGH). The module, which reportedly involved radicalised professionals, including doctors, was unearthed during a probe into Jaish posters found on the outskirts of Srinagar. Two doctors from Kashmir were arrested in Faridabad and Saharanpur, and police said they seized over 3,000 kg of explosives, chemicals, and arms, including 350 kg from a Faridabad residence. Officials have termed the crackdown a “major counter-terrorism success.” According to police, the network operated as a “white-collar terror ecosystem”, using encrypted channels and academic networks to raise funds and coordinate with handlers based abroad. The operation led to multiple searches across J&K, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh, and the arrest of seven individuals connected to the module.
