An explosion occurred near the Red Fort in Old Delhi at 6.52 pm on Monday. The blast reportedly took place in a car outside the Lal Quila Metro station. Several vehicles caught fire, and initial reports confirm eight deaths and several injuries. Authorities have identified the site of the explosion as outside Gate 1 of the Red Fort Metro station, located on the road connecting Delhi Gate to Kashmere Gate. The area is a busy stretch opposite the road leading to Chandni Chowk and about 1.5 kilometres from Jama Masjid.
