At least five people were killed and 10 others injured after eight vehicles collided near the ‘Selfie Point’ on Pune’s Navale Bridge Thursday evening (November 13). Police said two vehicles caught fire following the crash, and the injured have been taken to nearby hospitals. According to Pune City Police, the accident occurred within the jurisdiction of Sinhagad Police Station, on the Katraj-Dehu Road Bypass of the Pune-Bangalore Highway. Rescue operations are currently underway, with multiple ambulances, fire tenders, and police teams deployed at the site. DCP Sambhaji Kadam confirmed that all emergency agencies were on the spot. A traffic advisory has been issued, with the lane heading from Satara towards Mumbai shut for movement. Motorists have been advised to take the old Katraj Ghat route as an alternative.
