Connect your website, app, and podcast feed

Screen. Website, mobile app, and shared-URL image are confirmed on the Brand Assets screen, pre-filled from your domain.

When you finish, Genuin knows which domains, apps, and content sources belong to you, so embeds load only where you allow them and your existing content can be turned into video. Your part takes about 5 minutes; domain verification can take up to 24 hours if DNS is slow.

Before you begin

Access to DNS or the <head> of your website (either one is enough).
App bundle IDs if you have iOS or Android apps.
Your podcast RSS URL, YouTube channel URL, or a folder of long-form video, if you have them.

What Octo does

Octo lists the domains, subdomains, and apps it found while crawling your site and in your account's email domain, and proposes them as properties. Subdomains are covered by their parent.
For each domain Octo generates the verification (a DNS TXT record and a one-line meta tag) and, where you have connected your DNS provider or CMS, places it for you; otherwise it hands the line to the person you name. Apps verify on the first SDK call.
Octo discovers your content sources (podcast RSS, YouTube channel, Vimeo, Drive or Dropbox folders, product catalog feed) from links on your site and proposes them, with a read schedule. Nothing is published until Step 3.

What you approve

The property list. Remove anything that is not yours; add a property Octo did not find.
Who places the verification record if Octo cannot. Unverified domains stay in preview-only mode until it lands.

Make Octo smarter

Point the crawler at every property (Brand → Context → Crawl); Octo learns page types and categories per site, which it uses to draft your grid in Register your placements on the Hierarchical Grid.
