Were senior employees at a TCS office running a religious conversion racket at work? Serious allegations of sexual harassment and religious conversion have emerged from a BPO unit of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) in Maharashtra’s Nashik. At least nine FIRs have been filed and seven people have been arrested. Amid protests and allegations of ‘corporate jihad’ by the BJP, families of some of the accused have claimed innocence. The wife of one accused told The Indian Express that her husband had “nothing to do with the case” and was caught simply because of a personal issue. She alleged that a woman employee filed a complaint against Danish Shaikh and others including her husband after being forced by her family. “It was a relationship gone wrong between Danish Shaikh and one of the complainants that has ruined the lives of all the others”, she said.
