The body of Indian Air Force pilot Namansh Syal, who was killed when his Tejas fighter jet crashed during a display at the Dubai Air Show on Nov 21, arrived at the Sulur Air Force Station in southern India on Sunday (Nov 23). Air Force personnel received the coffin with full honours, carrying it out of the aircraft and laying wreaths as a mark of respect. Syal lost his life on Friday (Nov 21) when his Tejas aircraft went down in a ball of fire in front of spectators during an aerobatic performance at the international event. The incident prompted immediate concern over the cause of the crash. The Indian Air Force has announced that a court of inquiry will be constituted to determine what led to the accident.
