Sonam Wangchuk's wife, Gitanjali J Angmo, said the Delhi High Court's order did not mandate his hospitalisation but only required that his health be monitored regularly. She alleged that his current hospitalisation was not in accordance with the court's directions and said no treatment was being administered, with only observation and medical tests being carried out. Angmo also said the hospital had declined to share copies of his medical reports despite repeated requests. She questioned the medical reports provided by the hospital, saying the family planned to have the tests conducted at an external laboratory before consenting to any medication. She added that Wangchuk continues his fast and is only consuming water with salt, as he had been doing earlier.
