Many parents feel confused about how to encourage positive behaviors in their kids without unintentionally enabling them. Striking a balance between providing support and fostering independence can be tricky, especially when trying to avoid constant hand-holding. We enable behaviors without clear boundaries, giving in too regularly to tantrums, being inconsistent and so much more. This week on the PedsDocTalk Podcast🎙 I invited Zack Kasabo from @mybehaviorguide. He’s a child/teen behavior expert, school counselor, and parent coach passionate about helping parents support and connect with strong-willed kids. In the episode, we discuss what it means to “enable” behaviors, why children are learning “learned helplessness”, what corrective validation is, and how to use it. To give it a listen and get a link to the episode sent directly to your DMs, comment or DM me “PODCAST LINK”. To thank our podcast community and how you continue to spread the word about our show, we will be hosting weekly giveaways.🌟 This week we’re giving away the following: 1.
