With parenting strategies, it’s important to remember that what works well for one child may not work well for another. This is particularly true for kids with ADHD. Kids with ADHD often thrive with unique strategies because their brains are wired to work in their own amazing ways. Sometimes, gentle parenting doesn’t quite hit the mark, and you may need to adjust to firmer boundaries, clear expectations, or even creative approaches that meet their needs. It’s not about one-size-fits-all—it’s about finding what clicks for your child! To dive further into this, I invited Lori Long and Mallory Yee from @thechildhoodcollective on the PedsDocTalk Podcast 🎙this week. They are both child psychologists and moms passionate about providing ongoing support and education to parents raising children with ADHD. In the episode, we discuss what to know about the ADHD brain, how to better approach your child with ADHD, and how to adjust your parenting strategies to best meet their needs. To give it a listen and get a link to the episode sent directly to your DMs, comment or DM me “PODCAST LINK”.
