BJP workers and supporters celebrated at the party headquarters in New Delhi on Friday (November 14), with similar scenes witnessed in Patna, as early trends in the Bihar election results pointed to a sweeping lead for the NDA. By 2 PM, after six hours of counting, the NDA was ahead on 201 seats. The BJP led on 91 seats, while the Nitish Kumar–led JD(U) held a lead on 80 seats. Chirag Paswan’s LJP-RV was ahead on 22 seats, and Jitan Ram Manjhi’s HAM led on 5 seats. In sharp contrast, the Mahagathbandhan managed a lead on just 36 seats, with the RJD leading on 27 of them. The CPI(ML) and Congress were ahead on 4 seats each, while the CPM led on 1 seat.
