Capability SKUs
The network capabilities a listing can carry: Paid Partner Exchange, Affiliate and Commerce Link-Out, BYOA Retargeting Activation, AgenticStudio Production, Extended O&O Syndication.
Capability SKUs show buyers which network capabilities back a listing. Your network model and your monetization agreement decide which ones you can offer. Each capability adds what it powers in Octo and the AdCP surface it feeds.
This capability arrives as a proposal when your network needs it, filled in from your brand context, and goes live when you confirm it. It's part of Marketplace, and Marketplace: list packages and transact with demand partners explains what buyers see on each listing.
When to use it
Buyers see capability SKUs on every listing, and your model and agreement switch them on. Each one connects to a part of Genuin that's covered in its own article.
| Capability | Learn more |
|---|---|
| Paid Partner Exchange | Paid Partner Posts and Paid Partner Takeovers |
| Affiliate and Commerce Link-Out | Dynamic in-video linkouts and affiliate commerce |
| BYOA Retargeting Activation | Retargeting activation with the buyer's audiences, as listed in Marketplace: list packages and transact with demand partners |
| AgenticStudio Production | Studio: produce brand video from podcasts, long-form, and catalogs |
| Extended O&O Syndication | Extended O&O: how managed syndication works end to end |
How it works
- Your network model sets which capabilities are on. For example, the Extended model adds Extended O&O syndication and Paid Partner packages.
- Each model builds on the one before it. The Commerce model adds in-video linkouts, and the Retail model adds margin reporting and AdCP listing.
- Your agreement sets the terms each capability runs under. For example, a commerce media schedule adds data use terms, attribution windows, and margin reporting.
- With linkouts, one video can sell different products on different pages, partners, and days. Your own checkout is used when connected, and affiliate links otherwise.
- Extended O&O runs your brand as a destination on inventory you don't own. Genuin operates it as a managed service and lists its packages in Marketplace and AdCP.
- Studio turns the content you already have into brand-ready vertical video, so a library grows from sources rather than from a production team.
Set it up
Octo proposes the capabilities with these steps already done. You review the result and confirm it.
- Capabilities follow your network model. Learn how in Choose your network model: Owned, Extended, Commerce, or Retail.
- Capabilities follow your monetization agreement. Learn how in Choose your monetization agreement.
- Each capability adds what it powers in Octo and the AdCP surface it feeds. Learn how in AdCP: make your inventory discoverable to AI buyer agents.
Settings
Capabilities are configured by agreement, through these two choices.
| Setting | What it controls |
|---|---|
| Network model | Which capabilities are on: Owned, Extended, Commerce, or Retail |
| Monetization agreement | The terms each capability runs under, such as revenue share and data use |
You can change the model later without losing anything. Change a term, and the draft agreement under Monetize > Agreement is regenerated for signature.
What it reports
- Revenue by capability: what each capability on your listings earned.
- Reconciliation: final figures within five business days after month end, checked against your agreement.
Reports > Revenue reports revenue daily by demand source, partner, and package. Revenue reporting, payouts, and the Creator Wallet explains how it's counted and reconciled.
Build on it
Capabilities come from your model and agreement in Brand Control Center, so they need no code. Serve your first ad covers giving ads a place to render: in your feeds, in an IAB ad unit in your app, or on a partner's page.
The package calls in the Business Account API are proposed, not live. Live API today and the Business Account API roadmap maps what you can call now to what's planned.
