Distribute your feeds across 7K+ apps and sites
When you finish, feeds you control are running inside the Genuin network of more than 7,000 apps and sites, each feed shaped by a dimension you chose (keywords, brands, categories, topics, page context), with ads and sponsorships wrapped around your content so you earn from every view and can measure and address the people who watched. Your part takes about 10 minutes.
Before you begin
- A live hub (see Launch your first community: your owned-and-operated space) with classified content (see Upload your videos or connect your social profile).
What a feed is
A feed is a slice of your library selected by a dimension, ranked by Maya for the page it renders on. You can create as many as you need:
| Dimension | Example feed | Where it tends to run |
|---|---|---|
| Keywords | Every clip tagged "trail running" | Keywords Player anchors on partner pages that mention the term (see Keywords Player) |
| Brands | Clips featuring one brand partner's products | That partner's placements, or category pages across the network |
| Categories | Your "Recipes" category | Food and lifestyle sites and apps in the network |
| Topics | A season, an event, a launch | Timely placements for the window you set |
| Page context | Whatever matches the page the viewer is on | Any placement; Maya picks per view (see Onsite: contextual placements across homepage, category, and product pages and Personalization and relevance: how Maya ranks every feed) |
What Octo does
- Octo proposes your first feeds from the dimensions in the table above, chosen from your classification: the keywords and categories with the most content, a brand feed for each brand partner it knows about, and a page-context feed for the network.
- For each feed Octo proposes where it may run (anywhere in the network with matching context, a partner list, or specific placements you have been granted, Network distribution: place your content in partner inventory), applying both brand safety profiles, and what wraps it: Genuin network ads, your own sponsorships and Paid Partner Posts, or both (see Monetization models on Genuin: a decision guide and Paid Partner Posts and Paid Partner Takeovers), with floors from your brand safety profile.
- Octo shows the preview of each feed (what is in it, how many videos) and its expected reach across the 7,000+ apps and sites.
What you approve
- The feed list, each feed's dimension and value, where it may run, and what wraps it. Edit, pause, or remove any of them.
- Choose Approve and distribute. Views begin within minutes, reported by feed, dimension, partner, and placement, and Octo proposes new feeds as your library grows.
Make Octo smarter
- Name the brands, categories, and events that matter to you this quarter under Brand → Context; Octo builds feeds around them first and times topic feeds to your calendar.
Need help? Octo is available 24/7 in BCC and on every page of these docs. Ask it in plain language; when the answer needs a person, Octo brings the right account manager, developer, or Ops engineer into the same thread and stays on it until it is solved. Every Business Account owner has this, on every plan (see 24/7 Octo-enabled support: how Octo brings in account managers, developers, and Ops).
What you get
- Feeds by dimension running across the network, each pausable and editable at any time.
- Revenue from ads and sponsorships wrapped around your content (see Revenue reporting, payouts, and the Creator Wallet).
- Attribution and addressability on every distributed view, feeding your segments (see Audience segments: onsite, offsite, and offline signals) and your margin report (see Margin reporting: revenue per impression and net margin on ad spend).
