For many patients, starting #physicaltherapy within the first 24 hrs after surgery can significantly reduce hospital stay and speed recovery. Getting started early and staying consistent matters: - Early PT helps prevent complications like blood clots and stiffness - Patients who start PT earlier typically have shorter hospital stays - The first 6 wks are critical for establishing range of motion - Most patients achieve optimal knee flexion (110°) by week 12 . Following #KneeReplacement your PT journey typically includes: 📍 Dy 1: Gentle exercises + movements 📍 Wk 1: Basic mobility + strengthening 📍 Wk 2-6: Progressive exercises + daily activities 📍 Wk 6-12: Advanced strengthening + function Remember: Recovery isn’t a race. While early PT is important, everyone’s journey is unique. It’s important to work closely with an experienced physical therapist to develop a program that matches your goals and abilities.💡 Pro Tip: Before surgery, ask about your hospital’s PT protocols and prepare your home for post-surgery exercises.
