West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari on 20th May announced a new “detect, delete and deport” policy targeting alleged infiltrators in the state. While addressing a press conference alongside senior BSF officials at Nabanna, Adhikari said communities protected under the CAA would remain outside the scope of the mechanism, while those identified as infiltrators would be detained and deported immediately.
