The Reality of #AtalCanteens: Initially opening 45 canteens (with 55 more soon), it offers nutritious meals—dal, rice, vegetables, roti, and pickle—for just Rs 5 per plate, twice daily, targeting labourers, the urban poor, and vulnerable groups in JJ clusters. With digital tokens and CCTV monitoring it is being hailed as a welfare push to ensure "no one sleeps hungry and eats with dignity," there are many challenges for full implementation.
