The Cockroach Janta Party's Instagram account might be blocked soon, as the government sees it as a "national security threat", according to officials. As the online youth "party", which started as a satire page, gained more than 20 million followers in just five days, its growing traction among young people was flagged as a concern by the Intelligence Bureau. According to officials, the IB believed that the account was posting inflammatory content that could have jeopardised the country’s national security, leading to the takedown of the party's X account.
