Seven people were killed and around 10 others injured in a stampede at the Ashok Dham temple in Bihar’s Lakhisarai as a large number of devotees gathered to offer prayers on the third Monday of Sawan. Most of those killed were women, police said. Lakhisarai SDPO Shivam Kumar told The Indian Express that one of the injured had been referred to a higher medical centre, while the others were reported to be out of danger.
