In a ceremony held at a local temple in Bakultala, Sundarbans, Riya Sardar of Mandirbazar and Rakhi Naskar of Bakultala married in the presence of neighbors and well-wishers. Both dancers by profession, Riya and Rakhi met through their art two years ago and developed a relationship. Facing family opposition, Riya left her home and was supported by Rakhi’s family, who later consented to the marriage after discussions with the community.
