At least 10 people were killed after a four-storey residential building collapsed in Bhiwandi, near Mumbai, late Thursday night. The building, identified as Kohinoor Apartment, had earlier been declared 'dangerous' by the municipal corporation. Officials said a portion of the building's B wing collapsed between 11 pm and 11.30 pm. While several families had been evacuated earlier, some residents had remained inside. Rescue teams, including the NDRF, TDRF and fire brigade, were deployed to search for those trapped under the debris. The cause of the collapse is yet to be ascertained.
