AI chatbots are starting to find their place in the property management world, but the use cases are still pretty basic. Most questions are simple: What time does the pool open? How do I reserve the club room? When does management leave for the day? We’ve experimented with it at Desk Intelligence, and while I see the potential, we haven’t fully rolled it out yet. The biggest concern is accuracy and responsibility—if the chatbot gives the wrong information, the building is the one held accountable. We also have to make sure each user stays properly siloed to prevent unauthorized access, like someone trying to check another resident’s account. Over time, I think adoption will grow, but for now, especially in luxury buildings, people still prefer a quick call downstairs or a real-time message to the front desk. Simpler, faster, and more personal.
