A 60-foot iron bridge collapsed over a drain in Roop Nagar, North Delhi, on Tuesday morning, killing a woman. The victim, a beggar around 50 years old, fell into the nala when the structure gave way. The Delhi Fire Service received the alert around 9:30 am and rushed multiple teams to the spot, joined by NDRF and Delhi Police for rescue operations. Her body was later retrieved and she was declared dead at the scene. Authorities have cordoned off the area. The cause of the collapse remains unknown, and a detailed inspection has been ordered.
