A 34-year-old tourist from Karnataka was swept away by strong waves after venturing onto seaside rocks at Goa’s Baga Beach. According to police, Ashpaq Masali from Bijapur had travelled to Goa with a woman friend and had reportedly consumed alcohol before moving closer to the waves despite repeated warnings. A video recorded moments before the incident showed Masali sitting on the rocks as waves crashed against the shoreline. He was later pulled into the sea by a powerful wave. His friend and bystanders raised an alarm, triggering rescue efforts. His body was later recovered from the shoreline at Baga, according to reports.
