# Product Guide: Control

This page shows the steps of [Quick Start Guide: Any Business](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business), opened for this choice.

## Get Started

Most of your setup is prepared for you. Octo, Genuin's Supervised Intelligence interface, drafts each step from your website and brand context and shows it to you rendered; you confirm, edit, or decline. Five steps take you from a business account to your own media network, the same from a solo podcaster to a national retailer.

- [Add context](https://begenuin.com/developers/browse-by-products/supervised-intelligence/brand-context-and-website-crawler): Connect the website crawler and add guidelines, audience notes, catalog, partner rules, and policies; every proposal gets closer to what you would have built.
- [24/7 support on every plan](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/24-7-octo-support-how-octo-brings-in-account-managers-developers-and-ops): Ask in plain language from BCC or any docs page; an account manager, developer, or Ops engineer joins the thread when a person is needed.
- [Everything by API and SDK](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/business-account-api-provisioning-oauth-and-the-resource-map): Create and operate a Business Account programmatically: OAuth for partners, keys for owners, and every product as a resource. Each article ends with its calls.

### Step 1: Set Up Your Account

- [Create your Business Account on Brand Control Center (BCC)](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/create-business-account-bcc): When you finish, you will have a Business Account on Brand Control Center (BCC), the centralized hub for your brand on Genuin, with your first brand created, a sandbox API key, and an empty media network waiting for content. Your part takes about 3 minutes. No card, no contract.
  - [Can I run several brands or clients from one account?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/founders-business-owners-questions-and-answers): Yes. One Business Account holds several communities, each with its own brand kit; roles can be scoped per community. Agencies usually run one brand per client inside the agency's Business Account instead.
  - [What do I need ready before I start?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/founders-business-owners-questions-and-answers): A work email, a logo and colors, access to your website's head or DNS, and any content sources (podcast RSS, YouTube, a catalog). Everything else is created in BCC as you go.
  - [Do I have to configure all of this myself?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/founders-business-owners-questions-and-answers): No. Octo does the work at every step: it selects, generates, creates, and adds, and you approve, edit, or decline. The only things you do yourself are verify your email, sign the agreement, enter payout details, and approve code changes it opens for your developer.
  - [How do I get API keys and which environments exist?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/developers-engineering-questions-and-answers): A sandbox key is issued at account creation under Settings → Developers; a live key is issued at go-live. Sandbox data is isolated and keeps working for staging after launch. Keys are scoped to a Business Account and a role and rotate with a 24-hour grace period.
  - [Can an agency run networks for several clients?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/agencies-partners-resellers-questions-and-answers): Yes. The partner program gives agencies a multi-brand Business Account on BCC with scoped roles and a reseller share on the networks they bring; one brand per client inside the agency's Business Account is the usual pattern.
  - [Do my publishers each need their own account, or can I run them all from mine?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/media-supply-aggregators-questions-and-answers): Run them from one Business Account on BCC: your aggregator is the anchor brand and each publisher is a brand under it, with its own brand kit, brand safety profile, and reports. Your team switches between them in the header; a publisher invited into their brand sees only theirs.
  - [How do I keep each advertiser's creative, brand safety, and billing separate?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/media-demand-aggregators-questions-and-answers): Each advertiser is a brand under your Business Account with its own creative library, brand safety profile, billing profile, and reports; Campaign Manager roles are scoped per client brand and the brand switcher moves your team between them.

- [Set your brand identity: name, logo, colors, and voice](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/set-brand-identity): When you finish, every player, feed, email, and partner listing Genuin renders for you will carry your brand without any further styling work. Your part takes about 5 minutes.
  - [What brand assets do I need, and where do they show up?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/marketers-growth-questions-and-answers): A square logo, a wordmark, primary and accent colors, a typeface, a one-line description, and a voice. They render on every player, email, partner listing, and Studio caption.
  - [How does Studio decide what to clip, and can I edit it?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/content-community-creators-questions-and-answers): It finds moments by transcript, audio energy, and on-screen signals, reframes, captions in your brand voice, and proposes a group. Everything lands in Drafts for approval, and your edits train its preferences.

- [Connect your website, app, and podcast feed](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/connect-properties): When you finish, Genuin knows which domains, apps, and content sources belong to you, so embeds load only where you allow them and your existing content can be turned into video. Your part takes about 5 minutes; domain verification can take up to 24 hours if DNS is slow.
  - [How do I make Octo smarter about my brand?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/founders-business-owners-questions-and-answers): Point the website crawler at your properties and add what it cannot see under Brand → Context: guidelines, audience notes, catalog, partner rules, policies, technical notes, and legal paper. Every approval and inline edit teaches it too, and corrections you make to its brand summary outweigh the crawl.
  - [How do I verify a domain or an app?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/developers-engineering-questions-and-answers): Domains verify by DNS TXT record or a meta tag in the head; subdomains inherit. Apps verify on the first SDK call from a registered bundle ID.
  - [The player renders a preview ribbon or nothing at all. What do I check?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/developers-engineering-questions-and-answers): In order: the domain is verified (yellow badge means not yet), the loader has the right brand ID, the placement ID exists on the published grid, the size on the element is allowed for that placement, and the page is not blocked by your CSP. Sandbox keys always show the ribbon.
  - [How do I integrate my ad server, CDP, CMS, or commerce platform?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/agencies-partners-resellers-questions-and-answers): Technology partners integrate through the REST API and webhooks and are listed as Marketplace capabilities; ad servers receive the grid as line items and commerce platforms connect as catalog sources.

- [Invite your team and assign roles](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/invite-team-assign-roles): When you finish, the people who run content, revenue, and engineering each have the access they need and nothing more, and you have an audit trail from day one. Your part takes about 2 minutes per person.
  - [Who can sign and change billing details?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/finance-billing-questions-and-answers): Only the Owner role can sign agreements and change billing; Revenue can approve partners and read payouts; Analysts are read-only. Every change is in the audit log.
  - [What security controls can we enforce on our side?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/legal-privacy-security-questions-and-answers): Role-scoped access, two-factor enforcement, SSO for BCC on Enterprise, per-environment API keys with rotation, domain and app allow-lists, signed webhooks, and an exportable audit log.

Notes for your choices:

- For Creators & Podcasters: Business Account on [Brand Control Center (BCC)](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/glossary): one account, one brand (your show or your name; no legal entity needed). Skip the brand switcher and team roles unless you have a co-host, who joins as a Host. Connect your podcast RSS or YouTube in [Connect your website, app, and podcast feed](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/connect-properties) so Studio starts cutting clips while you finish the other steps.
- For Consumer Brands: Business Account on [Brand Control Center (BCC)](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/glossary): one account for the company, one brand per product line or market, and the brand switcher in the header to move between them; shared brand kit elements (logo, colors) are set once and overridden per brand. Connect the product catalog and creator content folders alongside your domains and apps. Invite Marketing, Revenue, and Developer roles at the account level; scope Content roles per brand.
- For Online Retailers: Business Account on [Brand Control Center (BCC)](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/glossary): one account for the retailer; the storefront is the anchor brand and each private label or banner is its own brand under it, switchable from the header. Connect the catalog with margin fields, every domain and app, and your loyalty program as a source for the ID graph later. Roles for Retail Media, Merchandising, Ad Ops, and Engineering; require two-factor authentication and scope Ad Ops to the brands they sell.
- For Consumer Services: Business Account on [Brand Control Center (BCC)](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/glossary): one account, usually one brand (your product or service); add a second brand only for a separately branded product. Verify your web app and mobile apps in [Connect your website, app, and podcast feed](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/connect-properties) and connect webinars, demos, and help-center videos as sources. Invite Content and Developer roles; the Developer owns the embed and auto login.
- For Media & Entertainment: Business Account on [Brand Control Center (BCC)](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/glossary): one account for the group, one brand per title, station, or property, each with its own brand kit, guidelines, and reports, and the brand switcher to move between them. Roles are scoped per brand (an editor sees only their title) with group-level Revenue and Admin roles across all. Connect every domain and app, your video archive, and live event feeds.
- For Media Supply Aggregator: Business Account on [Brand Control Center (BCC)](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/glossary): one account for the aggregator as the anchor brand, and one brand per publisher, app, or site you represent (imported in bulk from a CSV or the Partner API; see [REST API: authentication and keys](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/rest-api-authentication-and-keys)). Each publisher brand carries its own brand kit, brand safety profile, and reports; your team moves between them with the brand switcher, and a publisher can be invited into only their brand. Roles: Network Admin and Revenue at the account level, Publisher Manager scoped per brand, Engineering for the SDK and sellers.json work. Connect your own domains first; publisher properties are verified per brand in [Connect your website, app, and podcast feed](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/connect-properties) or delegated to the publisher.
- For Media Demand Aggregator: Business Account on [Brand Control Center (BCC)](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/glossary): one account for the aggregator as the anchor brand, and one brand per advertiser or client you buy for (created from a CSV or the Partner API; see [REST API: authentication and keys](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/rest-api-authentication-and-keys)), so creative, brand safety, budgets, and reports are separated per client and switchable from the header. Roles: Account Admin and Finance at the account level, Campaign Manager and Analyst scoped per client brand, Engineering for [AdCP](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/adcp-make-your-inventory-discoverable-to-ai-buyer-agents), DSP, and tag integration. Connect your own domain and verify each client's domains in [Connect your website, app, and podcast feed](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/connect-properties) only where you will run onsite placements for them; offsite buying needs no property verification.
- For Developers: You own: the white-label subdomain's DNS record, app registration for the SDK, and the QA and Live API keys. Hand off the brand kit to marketing.
- For Marketers: You own: brand kit, voice, description, and content sources. Decide which channels and campaigns will feed Studio. Hand off verification to a developer.
- For Revenue: You own: the legal entity, billing contact, and the role that will sign the services agreement. Confirm every domain and app that will carry ads is registered.
- For Growth: KPI set: watch time per user, return rate, members. Brand kit contrast and voice affect completion rates; connect every content source so the library grows without production effort.
- For Monetization: KPI set: time to first revenue. Enter your legal entity and billing details now and give the signer the right role, so the services agreement is one step when you reach it.
- For Onsite: Your brand kit is what every onsite placement inherits, so set colors against your real page backgrounds, not white. Verify every domain and subdomain where a placement will render (see [Connect your website, app, and podcast feed](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/connect-properties)); an unverified domain renders a preview ribbon. Connect the content sources whose video belongs next to your pages: your YouTube channel, help videos, and product media. ([Set your brand identity: name, logo, colors, and voice](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/set-brand-identity), [Connect your website, app, and podcast feed](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/connect-properties), [Onsite: contextual placements across homepage, category, and product pages](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/onsite-contextual-placements-across-homepage-category-and-product-pages), [Web SDK: install and configure](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/web-sdk-install-and-configure))
- For Offsite: Offsite tags carry your brand kit into other people's placements, so the logo and wordmark must read at 300 × 250 and 320 × 480. Verify your domain even if you run no onsite placements; attribution for offsite viewers who come to your site depends on it. ([Set your brand identity: name, logo, colors, and voice](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/set-brand-identity), [Connect your website, app, and podcast feed](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/connect-properties), [Offsite: generate IAB-standard tags for your media plan](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/offsite-generate-iab-standard-tags-for-your-media-plan), [Player card sizes and IAB footprint spec](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/player-card-sizes-and-iab-footprint-spec))
- For Monetize: Add your legal entity and billing contact early; agreements and seller files are generated from them. Give the Revenue role to whoever will approve partners and sign. Verify every domain and app that will carry ads, because ads.txt is per domain. ([Create your Business Account on Brand Control Center (BCC)](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/create-business-account-bcc), [Invite your team and assign roles](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/invite-team-assign-roles), [Set up ads.txt and sellers.json](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/set-up-ads-txt-and-sellers-json), [Plans, billing, and invoices](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/plans-billing-and-invoices))
- For Network: Your public brand name and description are what other networks and brand partners see in the directory, so write the description for a partner, not a viewer. Connect every property; partners can be granted placements only on verified ones. ([Set your brand identity: name, logo, colors, and voice](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/set-brand-identity), [Connect your website, app, and podcast feed](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/connect-properties), [Network distribution: place your content in partner inventory](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/network-distribution-place-your-content-in-partner-inventory), [Network models in depth: Owned, Extended O&O, Commerce Media, Retail Media](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/network-models-in-depth-owned-extended-o-o-commerce-media-retail-media))
- For Control: Roles start here: assign Content, Revenue, Developer, and Analyst roles with least privilege, scope them per community if you run several brands, and turn on two-factor authentication. The audit log records every change from this moment. ([Invite your team and assign roles](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/invite-team-assign-roles), [Control: roles, moderation, brand safety, and guidelines](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/control-roles-moderation-brand-safety-and-guidelines), [Security, data residency, and compliance](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/security-data-residency-and-compliance))
- For Studio: Brand voice (plain, warm, expert, playful) and the one-line description drive every caption and title Studio drafts. Connect content sources now: podcast RSS, YouTube, folders, the product catalog. The Inbox starts filling immediately; nothing publishes until you approve. ([Set your brand identity: name, logo, colors, and voice](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/set-brand-identity), [Connect your website, app, and podcast feed](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/connect-properties), [Studio: produce brand video from podcasts, long-form, and catalogs](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/studio-produce-brand-video-from-podcasts-long-form-and-catalogs))
- For Supervised Intelligence: Octo acts with the permissions of the role using it, so roles set in [Invite your team and assign roles](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/invite-team-assign-roles) bound what it can do. Create the sandbox API key now for your developers' staging work. ([Invite your team and assign roles](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/invite-team-assign-roles), [Create your Business Account on Brand Control Center (BCC)](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/create-business-account-bcc), [Supervised Intelligence: the orchestration and generative commerce layer](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/supervised-intelligence-the-orchestration-and-generative-commerce-layer), [REST API: authentication and keys](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/rest-api-authentication-and-keys))
- For Marketplace: Marketplace is where Supervised Intelligence gets its skills: AI capabilities, the tools they call, and the models they run on. Its tabs need the Marketplace permission on a role, so give it to whoever will manage Supervised Intelligence's capabilities when you [Invite your team and assign roles](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/invite-team-assign-roles). ([Add AI capabilities, tools, and models from the Marketplace](https://begenuin.com/developers/browse-by-products/marketplace/add-ai-capabilities-tools-and-models-from-the-marketplace), [Invite your team and assign roles](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/invite-team-assign-roles))
- For Healthcare & Wellness: Example: Northwind Health, a regional hospital system with a wellness publication. ### Step 2: Launch Media Network

- [What a media network is on Genuin](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/what-is-a-media-network): A media network on Genuin is your brand's own distribution and monetization system: the places your video appears (your site, your apps, partner sites, the open web), the audience that watches it, and the revenue those views create. Reading time about 4 minutes; nothing to configure.
  - [What exactly is a media network on Genuin, and do I need one?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/founders-business-owners-questions-and-answers): It is your own distribution and monetization system: the placements where your video appears, the communities that hold the content, and the demand that pays for views. If you have an audience or a site and want video that earns, you need one; the same five steps apply whether you are a podcaster or a retailer.
  - [How is this different from just posting on YouTube or TikTok?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/founders-business-owners-questions-and-answers): Those platforms own the audience, the data, and most of the revenue. On Genuin the video renders on your properties under your brand, the viewer relationship and data stay yours, and you set the demand sources; distribution into the Genuin network adds reach without giving that up.
  - [We hold advertiser budgets, not inventory. What does getting started mean for us?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/media-demand-aggregators-questions-and-answers): You set up a Business Account on BCC with one client brand per advertiser and buy across the network: packages and Paid Partner Posts directly, programmatic through your DSP with Genuin as a seller, and AdCP for buyer agents. There is nothing to embed unless a client also runs onsite placements.
  - Related: [How Media Brands and Publishers Add Advertiser Brands and Creators to Their Network](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/how-media-brands-and-publishers-add-advertiser-brands-and-creators-to-their-network), [Connect Your Brand Network to Add Consumer Brands](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/how-do-you-connect-your-brand-network-and-add-consumer-brands)
- [Choose your network model: Owned, Extended, Commerce, or Retail](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/choose-network-model): When you finish, your network has a model, and BCC shows only the settings, demand sources, and reports that model uses. Your part takes about 3 minutes and can be changed later without losing anything.
  - [Which network model should I pick: Owned, Extended O&O, Commerce, or Retail?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/founders-business-owners-questions-and-answers): Owned if you want video and revenue share on your own site; Extended O&O if you want Genuin to run your brand as a destination on partner inventory as a managed service; Commerce if you have first-party data and a catalog; Retail if you need every impression priced to margin with your ad server as system of record. You can move up a level later without rebuilding.
  - Related: [What is a Commerce Media Network?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/what-is-a-commerce-media-network), [What Are the Different Ways to Monetize My Network?](https://begenuin.com/developers/browse-by-products/monetize/what-are-the-different-ways-to-monetize-my-network)
- [Register your placements on the Hierarchical Grid](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/register-placements): When you finish, every place your video will appear has an address on one map that inventory, feed layout, and reporting all share, so a placement you create today reports correctly forever. Your part takes about 10 minutes for a typical site; retailers with many templates can import a sheet.
  - [How should I structure communities and groups?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/marketers-growth-questions-and-answers): One community per brand, five to twelve groups named the way the audience thinks (Episodes, Clips, Behind the scenes; or your top categories), each tied to a grid context so feeds can be matched to pages.
  - [Can I bulk-create placements?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/operations-ad-ops-support-questions-and-answers): Yes. Import the grid as CSV with one row per placement from Network → Grid → Import/Export; the same file generates package listings and partner ad server line items.
  - [How do I onboard hundreds of properties without doing it by hand?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/media-supply-aggregators-questions-and-answers): Create brands, properties, page types, and placements in bulk from a CSV import or the Partner API, then let each publisher verify its own domain or verify centrally. The Hierarchical Grid you end up with is the single spine your reports and sell sheet read from.
  - Related: [Create a placement and map it to the shopper journey](https://begenuin.com/developers/browse-by-products/onsite/how-can-contextual-feed-placements-transform-the-consumer-journey-across-your-website-or-app)
- [Pick your first player experience](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/pick-player-experience): When you finish, each placement on your grid has a player experience assigned, and you have seen each one rendered with your brand kit. Your part takes about 5 minutes.
  - [Which video experience belongs on which page?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/marketers-growth-questions-and-answers): Shorts on content pages, Shoppable on product and category pages, Community in member or post-purchase areas, Live & Q&A for events and drops. A placement can allow more than one, and the best fit is chosen for each viewer.
  - [Can I ship a house player across all my publishers and still let each one look like itself?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/media-supply-aggregators-questions-and-answers): Yes: set one house player experience and brand kit at the anchor and override per publisher brand; a custom player SDK build is available for a fully house look. Each publisher's placements inherit the house defaults unless their brand overrides them.

Notes for your choices:

- For Creators & Podcasters: Model: Owned. One property (your site), one page type (Episode page), one placement, Shorts. Add a Home placement after launch.
- For Consumer Brands: Model: Commerce Media. Grid mirrors Home, Category, PDP, Post-purchase; Shoppable on PDPs and categories, Community post-purchase, Live & Q&A for drops.
- For Online Retailers: Model: Retail Media. Import the grid from your ad server's ad units and site templates; context from your product taxonomy; Shoppable everywhere, Shorts on editorial; floors by target net margin.
- For Consumer Services: Model: Owned. Page types Home, Category, Article, Support, App home; Shorts plus Community; Shoppable only if you sell online.
- For Media & Entertainment: Model: Extended O&O. Import the grid from your ad server's ad units; Shorts on article and episode pages, Live & Q&A for events and talent. Launch destinations are named in the agreement.
- For Media Supply Aggregator: Model: Extended O&O at scale. Register one property per publisher brand on the [Hierarchical Grid](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/the-hierarchical-grid-one-spine-for-inventory-layout-and-reporting), with page types and placements imported from your existing ad-tag inventory map (see [Register your placements on the Hierarchical Grid](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/register-placements)); choose a house player experience and let each publisher brand override it (see [Pick your first player experience](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/pick-player-experience)). The grid is what rolls your whole supply up into one report and one sell sheet.
- For Media Demand Aggregator: Model: Demand partner and package buyer rather than inventory owner. You do not register placements; instead map the Genuin network's inventory to your buying taxonomy under Monetize > Buying (see [What a media network is on Genuin](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/what-is-a-media-network) and [Package Listing and Discovery](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/package-listing-and-discovery)) and, for clients with their own sites, register their properties on the grid under their brand (see [Register your placements on the Hierarchical Grid](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/register-placements)). Pick the player experience your creative set is produced for (see [Pick your first player experience](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/pick-player-experience)).
- For Developers: You own: exporting the placement grid and mapping placement IDs to your templates and ad units. Reserve each embed's footprint so the page doesn't shift when it renders.
- For Marketers: You own: which page types get video, which experiences run where, and the context taxonomy your feeds are ranked against. Think in customer journeys, not templates.
- For Revenue: You own: the brand type and which demand sources it switches on, the CPMs you ask for, and the placement sizes buyers pay for.
- For Growth: KPI set: pages per session, session length. Place video where the journey continues and allow more than one experience per placement so the best fit is chosen for each viewer.
- For Monetization: KPI set: eCPM, fill, revenue per embed. Pick the brand type that matches your business and register placements in the sizes buyers pay for.
- For Onsite: Onsite is the Owned model's core. Register one page type per template where video should appear and one placement per slot, following the Onsite layout table (see [Onsite: contextual placements across homepage, category, and product pages](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/onsite-contextual-placements-across-homepage-category-and-product-pages)). Attach the page's context (category tree, product taxonomy, article topics) at the page-type level so each page gets the most relevant video. Start with Shorts on content pages and Shoppable on product pages. ([Choose your network model: Owned, Extended, Commerce, or Retail](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/choose-network-model), [Register your placements on the Hierarchical Grid](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/register-placements), [Onsite: contextual placements across homepage, category, and product pages](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/onsite-contextual-placements-across-homepage-category-and-product-pages), [Player card sizes and IAB footprint spec](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/player-card-sizes-and-iab-footprint-spec))
- For Offsite: Offsite tags are generated from groups, not placements, but the grid still matters: register a property for each DSP or partner you traffic through so offsite impressions report as rows beside onsite. Choose IAB sizes you will actually traffic (see [Player card sizes and IAB footprint spec](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/player-card-sizes-and-iab-footprint-spec)). ([Register your placements on the Hierarchical Grid](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/register-placements), [Offsite: generate IAB-standard tags for your media plan](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/offsite-generate-iab-standard-tags-for-your-media-plan), [Ad tag reference: VAST, IAB sizes, and macros](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/ad-tag-reference-vast-iab-sizes-and-macros), [Player card sizes and IAB footprint spec](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/player-card-sizes-and-iab-footprint-spec))
- For Monetize: Pick the model by demand sources you will switch on: Owned for network share only, Extended O&O to have Genuin run distribution and partner sales for you as a managed service, Commerce or Retail for in-video commerce and margin reporting. Every placement on the grid carries a floor and a brand safety profile, so register placements with the sizes buyers pay for. ([Choose your network model: Owned, Extended, Commerce, or Retail](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/choose-network-model), [Register your placements on the Hierarchical Grid](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/register-placements), [Monetization models on Genuin: a decision guide](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/monetization-models-on-genuin-a-decision-guide), [Network models in depth: Owned, Extended O&O, Commerce Media, Retail Media](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/network-models-in-depth-owned-extended-o-o-commerce-media-retail-media))
- For Network: This is the step Network owns. Choose the model (see [Network models in depth: Owned, Extended O&O, Commerce Media, Retail Media](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/network-models-in-depth-owned-extended-o-o-commerce-media-retail-media)), register the grid, and decide which placements may carry partner content and which groups may travel. Extended O&O destinations appear on your grid as properties you do not own. ([What a media network is on Genuin](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/what-is-a-media-network), [Choose your network model: Owned, Extended, Commerce, or Retail](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/choose-network-model), [Register your placements on the Hierarchical Grid](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/register-placements), [Extended O&O: how managed syndication works end to end](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/extended-o-o-how-managed-syndication-works-end-to-end))
- For Control: Every placement carries a brand safety profile and player controls (autoplay, captions, share) set at the page-type level and narrowed at the placement. Decide them on the grid before you embed so templates never need a code change. ([Register your placements on the Hierarchical Grid](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/register-placements), [Control: roles, moderation, brand safety, and guidelines](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/control-roles-moderation-brand-safety-and-guidelines), [Embed configuration reference](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/embed-configuration-reference))
- For Studio: Studio adapts each video to the placement sizes on your grid, so register the sizes you will use before generating; a 9:16 feed and a 300 × 250 card need different crops. Player experiences decide what Studio tags: products for Shoppable, hooks for Shorts. ([Register your placements on the Hierarchical Grid](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/register-placements), [Pick your first player experience](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/pick-player-experience), [Studio: produce brand video from podcasts, long-form, and catalogs](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/studio-produce-brand-video-from-podcasts-long-form-and-catalogs), [Player card sizes and IAB footprint spec](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/player-card-sizes-and-iab-footprint-spec))
- For Supervised Intelligence: Octo answers questions along the grid, so a clean grid with real context is what makes its answers useful. Commerce and Retail models switch on Supervised Intelligence's Resolve capability for in-video commerce. ([Choose your network model: Owned, Extended, Commerce, or Retail](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/choose-network-model), [Register your placements on the Hierarchical Grid](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/register-placements), [Supervised Intelligence: the orchestration and generative commerce layer](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/supervised-intelligence-the-orchestration-and-generative-commerce-layer), [The Hierarchical Grid: one spine for inventory, layout, and reporting](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/the-hierarchical-grid-one-spine-for-inventory-layout-and-reporting))
- For Marketplace: Genuin tools such as Analytics, Curate, and Monetization are ready to enable under Marketplace > Tools, so the capabilities you add can work with your network from the start. Provider integrations need one sign-in per brand. ([Add AI capabilities, tools, and models from the Marketplace](https://begenuin.com/developers/browse-by-products/marketplace/add-ai-capabilities-tools-and-models-from-the-marketplace))
- For Healthcare & Wellness: Example: Northwind Health runs Owned (Extended O&O when you syndicate to health publishers). Placements are registered on condition pages, provider profiles, service-line pages, and the wellness blog, with Shorts on condition pages and Live & Q&A for webinars with clinicians.
- For Travel & Hospitality: Example: Horizon Journeys runs Commerce Media (bookable placements onsite, reach offsite). Placements are registered on destination pages, hotel detail pages, search results, and booking confirmations, with Shoppable on hotel pages and Shorts on destination guides.
- For Auto: Example: Summit Motors runs Commerce Media (Retail Media when OEMs buy your placements). Placements are registered on vehicle detail pages, inventory search, model pages, and service booking, with Shoppable on vehicle detail pages and Keywords player on model pages.
- For Music: Example: Riverline Records runs Extended O&O (syndicate sessions to music publishers and venues). Placements are registered on artist pages, event pages, release pages, and the merch store, with Live & Q&A on artist pages and a Rewarded Video Wall on presale pages.
- For Sports: Example: Metro Athletic runs Extended O&O (syndicate highlights to partner publishers and venues). Placements are registered on game pages, team pages, scores and schedules, and ticketing, with Shorts on game pages and Live & Q&A for post-game shows.
- For Food & Delivery: Example: QuickBite runs Commerce Media (orderable placements onsite, reach offsite). Placements are registered on restaurant pages, dish detail pages, search results, and order confirmation, with Shoppable on dish pages and Shorts on the home feed.
- For Beauty & Fashion: Example: Lumen Beauty runs Commerce Media (Retail Media when partner brands buy placements). Placements are registered on product detail pages, collection pages, the lookbook, and checkout, with Shoppable on product pages and Community Wall on the lookbook.
- For Finance & Insurance: Example: Harbor Bank runs Owned (Extended O&O to local news and real-estate partners). Placements are registered on product pages (mortgages, savings, cards), calculators, branch pages, and the learning hub, with Shorts on product pages and Live & Q&A for webinars.
- For Education: Example: Brightpath Learning runs Owned (Extended O&O to education publishers). Placements are registered on course pages, instructor profiles, the catalog, and the learner dashboard, with Shorts on course pages and Community Wall in the learner dashboard.
- For Home & Decor: Example: Hearthstone Home runs Retail Media (brands that sell through you buy placements). Placements are registered on product detail pages, room and collection pages, the inspiration magazine, and checkout, with Shoppable on product and room pages and Shorts in the magazine.
- For Consumer Electronics: Example: Volt Gear runs Retail Media (brands you carry buy placements and co-op). Placements are registered on product detail pages, comparison pages, category pages, and support, with Shoppable on product pages and Keywords player on comparison pages.
- For Gaming: Example: PixelForge runs Extended O&O (syndicate clips to gaming publishers and creator sites). Placements are registered on game pages, patch-note pages, the community portal, and the store, with Community Wall in the portal and Shorts on game pages.
- For Media & Entertainment: Example: Daily Current runs Extended O&O (syndicate to partner publishers and run a network). Placements are registered on article pages, section fronts, show pages, and the streaming home, with Shorts on article pages and Horizontal player on show pages.
- For Real Estate: Example: Keystone Realty runs Commerce Media (lead placements onsite, reach offsite). Placements are registered on listing pages, neighborhood pages, agent profiles, and search results, with Shoppable on listing pages and Shorts on neighborhood pages.

### Step 3: Publish Brand Community

- [Upload your videos or connect your social profile](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/upload-or-connect): When you finish, Genuin has your existing videos, has sorted them into communities, groups, categories, topics, and keywords for you, and has generated a landing page (your content hub) from them. Your part takes about 10 minutes of your time; the AI does the rest in the background.
  - [Do I have to create communities, groups, and categories myself?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/founders-business-owners-questions-and-answers): No. Upload your videos or connect your social profile and the AI assigns every video to a community, a group, categories, topics, and keywords, then generates your content hub from them. You review and move anything it got wrong; most people change nothing.
  - Related: [Generate and publish clips from long-form videos](https://begenuin.com/developers/browse-by-products/control/how-to-generate-clips-from-long-form-videos-and-publish-them-in-the-community-media-network), [Create communities and groups](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/create-communities-and-groups)
- [Launch your first community: your owned-and-operated space](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/launch-first-community): When you finish, your content hub is live on its own address, your first community is public, and you own the space: the audience relationship, the data, and every feed that leaves it. Your part takes about 5 minutes.
  - [What has to be true before I can go live?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/founders-business-owners-questions-and-answers): A verified domain with the loader on one page, a saved brand kit, at least one placement with an experience, 30 published videos (or 10 with scheduling in Canvas, part of Supervised Intelligence), accepted guidelines, and a privacy notice link. BCC checks each automatically and links to the fix.
  - [How do I reach the 30 videos a feed needs without a production team?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/marketers-growth-questions-and-answers): Thirty published videos is the go-live minimum: below it, a feed loops instead of ranking. Connect sources (podcast, YouTube, catalog), select up to ten long-form items, and let Studio cut, caption, and group the clips; approve in Drafts. Canvas keeps the library growing on your cadence.
  - [What should the first 30 videos be?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/content-community-creators-questions-and-answers): Clips from your strongest existing long-form content, cut by Studio for hooks, plus product videos if you have a catalog. Thirty is the floor for a feed to rank rather than loop; freshness is the next strongest driver.
  - [Should I upload to my hub or to YouTube first?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/content-community-creators-questions-and-answers): Upload to your hub first. The AI classifies it, then Curate and Schedule syndicate it to YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram with a link back, so you keep the first-party view of who watched and can wrap ads and sponsorships around the original.
  - Related: [Embed the Genuin Web SDK on your website](https://begenuin.com/developers/developer-resources/sdk/how-do-you-embed-and-configure-the-genuin-web-sdk-on-your-website), [Create a placement and map it to the shopper journey](https://begenuin.com/developers/browse-by-products/onsite/how-can-contextual-feed-placements-transform-the-consumer-journey-across-your-website-or-app)
- [Post to your hub, then curate and schedule to other platforms](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/post-curate-schedule): When you finish, new videos go to your content hub first and reach YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and the rest on a schedule you set, so your O&O is the source and the platforms are the syndication. Your part takes about 5 minutes to set up; then it is the way you post.
  - [Do I need a developer to launch?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/founders-business-owners-questions-and-answers): No for a creator or a site on a tag manager: the embed is one snippet pasted once. Yes for auto login, mobile apps, or conversion tracking, which take a developer about a day in total.
  - [What is the minimum integration?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/developers-engineering-questions-and-answers): One async script in the head and one div per placement. No build step, no SDK initialization code, no backend. React, Next.js, and mobile packages exist with the same attributes.
  - [How do I pass page context so the feed matches the page?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/developers-engineering-questions-and-answers): Set data-genuin-context on the placement element with key:value pairs (category, product IDs, topics). Context narrows the page type's grid context; it never widens it.
  - Related: [Generate and publish clips from long-form videos](https://begenuin.com/developers/browse-by-products/control/how-to-generate-clips-from-long-form-videos-and-publish-them-in-the-community-media-network), [Activate Creator Programs and Manage Access for Communities and Groups](https://begenuin.com/developers/find-your-use-cases/activate-creator-programs-manage-access), [Embed your social experience on your website](https://begenuin.com/developers/browse-by-products/onsite/can-your-website-become-community-hub-without-building-a-new-platform)
- [Distribute your feeds across 7K+ apps and sites](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/distribute-feeds-network): When you finish, feeds you control are running inside the Genuin network of more than 7,000 apps and sites, each feed shaped by a dimension you chose (keywords, brands, categories, topics, page context), with ads and sponsorships wrapped around your content so you earn from every view and can measure and address the people who watched. Your part takes about 10 minutes.
  - [How long does it take to go live?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/founders-business-owners-questions-and-answers): The summary at the top of this page adds it up for the business type, role, and goal you pick: the minutes for each essential and recommended step, plus a minute to confirm each step prepared for you. Most paths come to 51 to 116 minutes of hands-on work; a podcaster can be live in an afternoon. Domain verification can add up to a day and enterprise signatures depend on your signatory. Extended O&O destinations take four to six weeks from signature.
  - [What changes when we switch from sandbox to live?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/developers-engineering-questions-and-answers): The live key replaces the sandbox key in the loader, the preview ribbon disappears, and reports stop being labelled sandbox. Nothing else in the markup changes.
  - [What is the difference between posting on social platforms and distributing a feed on Genuin?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/marketers-growth-questions-and-answers): On a platform you rent reach you cannot measure or address afterward and the platform keeps the ad revenue. A distributed feed is yours: you choose its dimension (keywords, brands, categories, topics, page context) and where it runs across 7K+ apps and sites, the ads and sponsorships inside it pay you, and every view is attributed and addressable.
  - [How is consent captured and honored?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/legal-privacy-security-questions-and-answers): The SDK reads your CMP string (GDPR, US privacy, GPP) or a consent flag you set; consent is honored per viewer and per purpose for personalization, segments, and attribution; a privacy notice link is required in the player before go-live.
  - [Where do I see incidents and who do I contact?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/operations-ad-ops-support-questions-and-answers): The status page covers SDK, API, player delivery, and ad serving; support is docs and community on Free, email next business day on Self-serve, and a named CSM with incident response within one hour on Enterprise.

Notes for your choices:

- For Creators & Podcasters: Connect your YouTube or podcast feed; the AI cuts episodes into clips and builds your hub. Launch it, post new episodes to the hub first and schedule them out to YouTube and TikTok, then distribute an Episodes feed across the network with revenue share on from day one.
- For Consumer Brands: Upload product and creator video; the AI classifies by product category and use occasion and builds a hub with shoppable feeds. Launch, syndicate from the hub, and distribute brand and category feeds with your sponsorships wrapped in.
- For Online Retailers: Upload or connect catalog video; the AI classifies by category and keyword. Launch the hub, embed category feeds on PDPs and category pages, and distribute category and brand feeds across the network with endemic sponsorships wrapped in and margin reported per feed.
- For Consumer Services: Connect your YouTube and help-center videos; the AI groups them by customer need. Launch the hub, embed a feed on support and product pages, syndicate tips from the hub, and distribute a keyword feed so your explainers appear where people search for them.
- For Media & Entertainment: Connect your channels; the AI maps shows and sections to groups and builds the hub. Launch on your domain, embed feeds through your CMS, syndicate from the hub, and distribute section and topic feeds across the network with Paid Partner packages wrapped in.
- For Media Supply Aggregator: Each publisher brand gets its own content hub, built by the AI from the publisher's archive or social profiles (see [Upload your videos or connect your social profile](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/upload-or-connect)) and launched on the publisher's domain or a Genuin address (see [Launch your first community: your owned-and-operated space](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/launch-first-community)). Your anchor brand curates across hubs: a network-wide feed by category, keyword, or page context distributed into every publisher placement and across the Genuin network (see [Distribute your feeds across 7K+ apps and sites](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/distribute-feeds-network)), with ads and sponsorships you sell wrapped around it.
- For Media Demand Aggregator: Your content is advertiser creative and creator content you license: upload it per client brand (see [Upload your videos or connect your social profile](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/upload-or-connect)) so the AI classifies it by category and keyword, launch a lightweight hub per client as the creative library and landing destination (see [Launch your first community: your owned-and-operated space](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/launch-first-community)), and use Studio to adapt each asset to every placement size and partner brand kit (see [Post to your hub, then curate and schedule to other platforms](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/post-curate-schedule)). Distribution for you is buying: Paid Partner Posts, Takeovers, and network feeds that carry your clients' sponsorships (see [Distribute your feeds across 7K+ apps and sites](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/distribute-feeds-network) and [Paid Partner Posts and Paid Partner Takeovers](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/paid-partner-posts-and-paid-partner-takeovers)).
- For Developers: You own: the optional embed of hub feeds into your templates (one snippet per embed), pointing your domain at the hub, and passing page context so feeds match the page. No code is needed to launch the hub itself.
- For Marketers: You own: reviewing the AI classification (groups, categories, topics, keywords), the hub's look, the syndication schedule per platform, and which feeds to distribute by which dimension.
- For Revenue: You own: which feeds carry Genuin ads versus your own sponsorships, brand safety for distributed feeds, and reading distributed-feed revenue by feed and partner.
- For Growth: KPI set: hub sessions, watch time per user, followers, syndicated views that return to the hub. Post to the hub first; links back on every syndicated post are the growth loop.
- For Monetization: KPI set: distributed views, eCPM on wrapped ads, sponsorship revenue per feed. Launch, then distribute at least one feed so paid partnerships have inventory to run in.
- For Onsite: Your content hub is the first onsite surface: launch it on a Genuin address or your domain, then embed any feed from it into your existing pages with one snippet. The AI's categories, topics, and keywords become the page contexts feeds match against. ([Launch your first community: your owned-and-operated space](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/launch-first-community), [Onsite: contextual placements across homepage, category, and product pages](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/onsite-contextual-placements-across-homepage-category-and-product-pages), [Vertical Video Player Placement](https://begenuin.com/developers/browse-by-products/onsite/vertical-video-player-placement), [Keywords Player](https://begenuin.com/developers/browse-by-products/onsite/keywords-player))
- For Offsite: The hub is the landing destination every offsite tag points back to, and a Genuin-domain hub can be allowlisted by buyers and partners. Syndicated posts carry a link back to it so offsite viewers become hub viewers you can measure. ([Launch your first community: your owned-and-operated space](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/launch-first-community), [Generative Destination on a Genuin Domain](https://begenuin.com/developers/browse-by-products/offsite/generative-destination-on-a-genuin-domain), [Post to your hub, then curate and schedule to other platforms](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/post-curate-schedule), [Offsite: generate IAB-standard tags for your media plan](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/offsite-generate-iab-standard-tags-for-your-media-plan))
- For Monetize: Ads and sponsorships wrap your distributed feeds from the first view; revenue share needs nothing more than launch. Keywords, categories, and brand tags assigned by the AI are what packages and feeds are sold against, so review them once before [Distribute your feeds across 7K+ apps and sites](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/distribute-feeds-network). Each feed you distribute can also be sold as a package, with an outcome forecast attached (see [Packages: sell outcomes to brands and demand partners](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/packages-sell-outcomes-to-brands-and-demand-partners)). ([Distribute your feeds across 7K+ apps and sites](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/distribute-feeds-network), [Monetization models on Genuin: a decision guide](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/monetization-models-on-genuin-a-decision-guide), [Paid Partner Posts and Paid Partner Takeovers](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/paid-partner-posts-and-paid-partner-takeovers), [Genuin Network Revenue Share](https://begenuin.com/developers/browse-by-products/monetize/genuin-network-revenue-share), [Packages: sell outcomes to brands and demand partners](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/packages-sell-outcomes-to-brands-and-demand-partners), [Package Builder](https://begenuin.com/developers/browse-by-products/monetize/package-builder))
- For Network: Launch lists your network for distribution across 7K+ apps and sites. Build feeds by keyword, brand, category, topic, or page context and choose where each may run; partner content you accept fills the hub faster. ([Distribute your feeds across 7K+ apps and sites](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/distribute-feeds-network), [Network distribution: place your content in partner inventory](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/network-distribution-place-your-content-in-partner-inventory), [Content Distribution (Outbound)](https://begenuin.com/developers/browse-by-products/network/content-distribution-outbound), [Accept partner content into your ecosystem](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/accept-partner-content-into-your-ecosystem))
- For Control: The AI's classification is editable: move a video, rename a group, or block a keyword and the feeds follow. Guidelines are accepted at launch and the Standard moderation baseline is on; brand safety profiles gate where feeds may run. ([Launch your first community: your owned-and-operated space](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/launch-first-community), [Moderation Baselines and Queue](https://begenuin.com/developers/browse-by-products/control/moderation-baselines-and-queue), [Brand Safety Profile](https://begenuin.com/developers/browse-by-products/control/brand-safety-profile), [Control: roles, moderation, brand safety, and guidelines](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/control-roles-moderation-brand-safety-and-guidelines))
- For Studio: Studio clips what you upload or connect, writes captions in your voice, and prepares each syndicated cut and cover. [Canvas](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/canvas-run-your-network-with-growth-and-monetization-agents), part of Supervised Intelligence, can keep the hub growing on a cadence and run the curate-and-schedule routine for you. ([Upload your videos or connect your social profile](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/upload-or-connect), [Post to your hub, then curate and schedule to other platforms](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/post-curate-schedule), [Clip Generation from Long-form](https://begenuin.com/developers/browse-by-products/studio/clip-generation-from-long-form), [Canvas Growth Fleet](https://begenuin.com/developers/browse-by-products/supervised-intelligence/canvas-growth-fleet))
- For Supervised Intelligence: Classification into communities, groups, categories, topics, and keywords is Supervised Intelligence's work; ask Octo which keywords have the most content, which feeds to create first, and where they would run best before you distribute. ([Upload your videos or connect your social profile](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/upload-or-connect), [Distribute your feeds across 7K+ apps and sites](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/distribute-feeds-network), [Ask](https://begenuin.com/developers/browse-by-products/supervised-intelligence/supervised-intelligence-ask), [Personalization and relevance: how Maya ranks every feed](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/personalization-and-relevance-how-maya-ranks-every-feed))
- For Marketplace: Clone a capability that helps run the hub, such as content curation, from the Capability Marketplace, connect its tools, and enable it in Supervised Intelligence. Capabilities that run in the background, such as clip generation, show their progress on the capability's page. ([Add AI capabilities, tools, and models from the Marketplace](https://begenuin.com/developers/browse-by-products/marketplace/add-ai-capabilities-tools-and-models-from-the-marketplace), [Marketplace: what it does and where to start](https://begenuin.com/developers/browse-by-products/marketplace/marketplace-what-it-does-and-where-to-start))
- For Healthcare & Wellness: Example: Northwind Health launches a hub with Heart Health, Nutrition, New Parents, and Healthy Aging as communities, seeded with clinician explainers, patient stories, and nutrition and fitness tips; the first distribution feeds are Heart Health, Nutrition, and New Parents keyword feeds.

### Step 4: Add Users

- [Bring your audience in with auto login and SSO](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/auto-login-sso): When you finish, people who are already signed in to your site or app are signed in to Genuin too, so they can follow, post, buy, and be recognized across every placement without a second login. Your part takes about 30 minutes of developer time.
  - [How does auto login work and what does Genuin see?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/developers-engineering-questions-and-answers): Your server signs a short-lived JWT with your user ID and the claims you choose; the SDK exchanges it for a Genuin session. Genuin never sees passwords or your user table. SSO providers can be registered so their tokens validate directly.
  - [Does Octo change our code, and who approves it?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/developers-engineering-questions-and-answers): Where you connect a repository or CMS, Octo opens embeds, SDK updates, auto login, and ads.txt changes as pull requests or CMS changes for your developer to approve; it never deploys on its own. Without a connection it hands your developer the exact snippet and page.
  - Related: [How Auto Login works](https://begenuin.com/developers/developer-resources/overview/genuin-auto-login), [How privacy and consent work with zero-party data](https://begenuin.com/developers/browse-by-products/control/how-does-genuin-ensure-privacy-and-consent-with-zero-party-data)
- [Invite creators, hosts, and contributors](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/invite-creators): When you finish, the people who make content for your brand (hosts, employees, creators, superfans) can post into your groups under rules you set, and their earnings are tracked from the first post. Your part takes about 10 minutes.
  - [How do I bring creators, ambassadors, or customers into the content?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/marketers-growth-questions-and-answers): Invite them by email or creator link, assign a tier (Host, Contributor, or Member creator, whose posts go through moderation), and run a Quest: a brief with a deadline and a reward. Entries pass moderation and rewards settle into Creator Wallets.
  - [How do I run a Quest that actually gets entries?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/content-community-creators-questions-and-answers): Write the brief in plain words, pick the group and a deadline, and stack rewards: a small guaranteed reward for valid entries, a larger prize, a revenue share, and a featured placement. Most networks see entries within a day.
  - [How do creator tiers work?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/content-community-creators-questions-and-answers): Hosts can go live, pin, and answer Q&A with posts straight to feed; Contributors post to assigned groups straight to feed; Member creators post to open groups through the moderation queue.
  - [How do live sessions work and what happens to them afterwards?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/content-community-creators-questions-and-answers): A Host schedules a Live & Q&A session with questions and polls; the replay is kept and Studio turns it into Shorts clips automatically.

- [Set moderation and brand safety](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/moderation-brand-safety): When you finish, every post, comment, and video on your network passes rules you chose before anyone sees it, and advertisers have a brand-safety profile to buy against. Your part takes about 10 minutes.
  - [How do I set floors, and what moves eCPM?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/revenue-ad-sales-yield-questions-and-answers): Floors are per placement on the grid; BCC proposes them from your brand safety profile and context. A higher brand safety profile, richer context, verified sellers, and viewability all raise what buyers pay; blocklists lower fill and the Ad quality report shows what each rule costs.
  - [How does moderation work day to day?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/content-community-creators-questions-and-answers): A classifier plus your keyword and topic lists score every post; flagged items are held, removed, or labelled by source; the queue has SLA timers, assignment, bulk actions, and an appeal flow; a weekly digest summarizes it.
  - [What can partners and buyers see about our audience?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/legal-privacy-security-questions-and-answers): Segment sizes and names, never members or identifiers; cohort membership can be shared with partners only if you enable it; brand safety profiles are visible by design.
  - [How do I run the moderation queue and what are the SLAs?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/operations-ad-ops-support-questions-and-answers): The queue shows flagged items by source with SLA timers, assignment, bulk actions, and appeals; set hold, remove, or label per source, and read the weekly digest. Baselines are Standard or Strict, both editable.
  - Related: [Set up automatic content approval](https://begenuin.com/developers/browse-by-products/control/how-do-i-automatically-approve-content-based-on-pre-defined-brand-community-and-platform-guidelines)
- [Add brand partners and demand partners](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/add-partners): When you finish, the companies who will pay for your audience (brands, agencies, programmatic buyers, and other networks) are connected to your network, and the companies whose content you want are connected too. Your part takes about 10 minutes for the first partner.
  - [What types of brands can be part of my network, and how do I decide who belongs?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/founders-business-owners-questions-and-answers): Any brand that brings an asset your network uses: audience, content, inventory, data, a catalog, or demand. Classify each on five axes (assets, role, market relationship, company type, scale) and BCC proposes the permissions, split, and ranking weight; competitive brands go to the exclusion list.
  - [Can I accept other brands' content, and what can they do?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/content-community-creators-questions-and-answers): Yes, into named groups under your rules: they can appear in those groups, carry their brand on the post, be ranked in your feeds, and earn a share you set; they cannot appear elsewhere, change your brand kit, bypass moderation, or collect viewer data.
  - [How do I keep ads.txt current when partners change?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/operations-ad-ops-support-questions-and-answers): BCC re-crawls daily and alerts the Revenue role if a line disappears; adding a demand partner that sells your inventory adds a line and shows the diff for approval.
  - [How is revenue split between partners?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/agencies-partners-resellers-questions-and-answers): Splits are set when the partnership is created and accepted in both BCCs; distributed views count toward each side's share and settle through the normal payout cycle.
  - [How do I buy inventory from a network on Genuin?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/agencies-partners-resellers-questions-and-answers): Request a package from your own BCC (or through an AI buyer agent over AdCP), accept the brand safety profile, submit creative for approval, and settle through your own BCC; buyers get a free account if they do not have one.

- [Offer member subscriptions: free and paid tiers](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/offer-member-subscriptions-free-and-paid-tiers): When you finish, your social experience has a Free member tier and, where you want one, paid tiers that unlock content, groups, live sessions, or perks, with checkout, renewals, and receipts handled for you and every member assigned to a tier. Takes about 10 minutes.
  - [Can members pay for access, and can some members stay free?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/content-community-creators-questions-and-answers): Yes. Every network has a Free member tier; paid tiers add a price and unlock communities, groups, live sessions, ad-free viewing, downloads, or perks you choose. Members can be added or imported on any tier, comped onto a paid tier, or bundled with a plan you already sell.
  - [How do subscription tiers show up in revenue reporting?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/revenue-ad-sales-yield-questions-and-answers): By tier and community under Reports > Revenue, alongside sponsorships, programmatic, and commerce, and paid out on the same calendar as the rest of your revenue.

Notes for your choices:

- For Creators & Podcasters: Invite co-hosts as Hosts; skip auto login until you have members. Run a listener Quest to fill Behind the scenes. List in the network directory for distribution. A Free member tier is set up for listeners; a Supporter tier (ad-free, early access, a members-only group) is drafted for you to switch on when ready (see [Offer member subscriptions: free and paid tiers](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/offer-member-subscriptions-free-and-paid-tiers)).
- For Consumer Brands: Auto login with email_hash for the ID graph. Ambassadors and loyal customers as Contributors; a Quest for user content. Brand safety profile with competitive exclusions. Invite retail partners for Paid Partner Posts in their category groups.
- For Online Retailers: SSO with hashed loyalty ID. Strict moderation, brand safety profile, advertiser blocklists. Invite endemic brands as partners, connect your partner ad server, list packages for buyers and over [AdCP](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/adcp-make-your-inventory-discoverable-to-ai-buyer-agents). Offline purchase file for attribution.
- For Consumer Services: Auto login from your existing sign-in so members are recognized; member-only groups for customers; employees and advocates as Contributors; Standard moderation.
- For Media & Entertainment: SSO for subscribers; Hosts for talent; Strict moderation and a brand safety profile per brand. Invite endemic and non-endemic brand partners; connect your ad server; accept partner content into section groups. Map existing subscribers to a paid member tier and keep a Free tier for everyone else (see [Offer member subscriptions: free and paid tiers](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/offer-member-subscriptions-free-and-paid-tiers)).
- For Media Supply Aggregator: Add each publisher as a Distribution partner and, where they contribute content, a Content partner on the edge from their brand to your anchor (see [Add brand partners and demand partners](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/add-partners) and [Brand Network: core concepts and how brands are classified](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/brand-network-core-concepts-and-how-brands-are-classified)); accept their brand safety profile into yours. Auto login (see [Bring your audience in with auto login and SSO](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/auto-login-sso)) per publisher domain. Scope moderation to each publisher brand with your baseline on top (see [Set moderation and brand safety](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/moderation-brand-safety)).
- For Media Demand Aggregator: Invite each client's marketing team into their brand with Campaign Manager roles (see [Invite your team and assign roles](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/invite-team-assign-roles) and [Invite creators, hosts, and contributors](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/invite-creators)). Add publishers and networks you want direct deals with as Demand-side edges from your anchor brand (see [Add brand partners and demand partners](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/add-partners) and [Brand Network: core concepts and how brands are classified](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/brand-network-core-concepts-and-how-brands-are-classified)); connect your DSP or ad server for programmatic (see [Programmatic: Genuin Ad Server or your partner ad server](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/programmatic-genuin-ad-server-or-your-partner-ad-server) and [Partner Ad Server Integration](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/partner-ad-server-integration)). Attribution needs auto login only where a client runs onsite placements (see [Bring your audience in with auto login and SSO](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/auto-login-sso)); offsite attribution uses the tags and the ID graph (see [Unified identity: auto login, SSO, and the ID graph](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/unified-identity-auto-login-sso-and-the-id-graph)).
- For Developers: You own: the auto login signing key, token minting on your server, SSO provider registration, and sending player events to your analytics.
- For Marketers: You own: creator and ambassador invitations, creator programs, brand safety categories, and brand partner invitations.
- For Revenue: You own: the brand safety settings, demand partner connections, paid partnerships with partner brands, and creator revenue share.
- For Growth: KPI set: members, posts per member, creator entries. Auto login enables continuity and member-only groups; creator programs fill new groups.
- For Monetization: KPI set: partners connected, paid partnerships live. Set brand safety first, then add brand partners and demand partners.
- For Onsite: Auto login turns a sequence of page views into one continuous session that personalization can follow, which is where onsite lift comes from. Members-only groups work only after it is on. Moderation for onsite content is mostly about what Studio and partners publish; member posting is optional. ([Bring your audience in with auto login and SSO](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/auto-login-sso), [Unified identity: auto login, SSO, and the ID graph](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/unified-identity-auto-login-sso-and-the-id-graph), [Personalization and relevance: how Maya ranks every feed](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/personalization-and-relevance-how-maya-ranks-every-feed), [Auto login and token exchange](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/auto-login-and-token-exchange))
- For Offsite: Unified identity links an offsite view to a later onsite visit under consent, which is how offsite return on ad spend is measured. Pass the consent macros in every tag. Demand partners for offsite are your DSP or the partner's ad server (see [Add brand partners and demand partners](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/add-partners)). ([Bring your audience in with auto login and SSO](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/auto-login-sso), [Unified identity: auto login, SSO, and the ID graph](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/unified-identity-auto-login-sso-and-the-id-graph), [Add brand partners and demand partners](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/add-partners), [Attribution: closed-loop commerce and conversion forecasts](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/attribution-closed-loop-commerce-and-conversion-forecasts))
- For Monetize: The brand safety profile you set in [Set moderation and brand safety](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/moderation-brand-safety) is what every buyer sees, and it informs how they value your inventory. Brand partners and demand partners connect in [Add brand partners and demand partners](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/add-partners) but serve nothing until sellers are authorized. Creators' revenue share is set here and settles into their wallets automatically. List packages for buyers, and enable [AdCP discovery](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/adcp-discovery-and-network-sales-agent) so buyer agents find them at the planning stage. - For Network: Invite brand partners (outbound and inbound), request placements on partner networks, and list in the network directory. Partners accept in their own [Brand Control Center (BCC)](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/glossary); permissions are per group and per placement. Creators from partner networks appear as guests. - For Control: This is the step Control owns: moderation baseline, flagged-content actions by source, keyword and topic blocklists, roles for approve and remove, and the brand safety profile, aligned with industry brand safety standards, that buyers purchase against. ([Set moderation and brand safety](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/moderation-brand-safety), [Control: roles, moderation, brand safety, and guidelines](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/control-roles-moderation-brand-safety-and-guidelines), [Blocklists and ad quality controls](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/blocklists-and-ad-quality-controls), [Content policies and community guidelines](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/content-policies-and-community-guidelines))
- For Studio: Creators post through Studio's tools with your brand kit; Quests brief them and Studio polishes entries. ### Step 5: Sign Contract

- [Plans explained: Free, Self-serve, and Enterprise](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/plans-explained): Genuin has three plans; most networks launch on Free, upgrade to Self-serve when they want their own demand sources, and move to Enterprise when they want Genuin to operate the network as a managed service. Reading time about 3 minutes.
  - [What does it cost to start, and when do I pay anything?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/founders-business-owners-questions-and-answers): Starting is free with no card and no contract. Inventory monetized through Genuin carries no serving cost; a revenue share applies to Genuin network demand and a platform fee to demand you bring yourself. Enterprise agreements set both in one schedule.
  - [What will we be invoiced for?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/finance-billing-questions-and-answers): Plan fees where they apply (none on Free), metered serving only for inventory not monetized through Genuin, and nothing for Genuin-monetized inventory. Revenue shares and platform fees are netted against payouts, not invoiced.
  - [What are the minimums and commitments?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/finance-billing-questions-and-answers): Network revenue share has no minimums; Enterprise and managed service agreements carry service levels and content or production commitments that are stated in the schedule before signature.

- [Choose your monetization agreement](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/choose-monetization-agreement): When you finish, you have chosen how money flows through your network and which agreement governs it, and BCC has generated that agreement for signature. Your part takes about 10 minutes.
  - [What is Genuin's share and when am I paid?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/founders-business-owners-questions-and-answers): The share is set by your agreement type and shown in BCC under Settings → Plan before you sign. Payouts are monthly net-30 by default, with statements that reconcile to the revenue report; creator shares settle automatically.
  - [Can I leave, and what do I keep?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/founders-business-owners-questions-and-answers): You keep your brand, audience relationship, content, and data; exports cover videos, reports, and segments. Agreements set notice periods; the Free and Self-serve plans end any time.
  - [Which agreement do I sign?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/revenue-ad-sales-yield-questions-and-answers): Network revenue share for Genuin network demand only; platform agreement if you sell to your own partners or run your own ad server; managed service (Extended O&O) if Genuin operates distribution and partner sales for you; commerce media schedule if first-party data, in-video commerce, and margin reporting are in scope.
  - [What are the minimums and commitments?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/finance-billing-questions-and-answers): Network revenue share has no minimums; Enterprise and managed service agreements carry service levels and content or production commitments that are stated in the schedule before signature.
  - [Where is data stored and which attestations exist?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/legal-privacy-security-questions-and-answers): US by default; EU and other regions on Enterprise agreements. Security overview, subprocessor list, data processing addendum, and current attestations are under Settings → Trust and attached to Enterprise agreements.
  - [What do the agreements cover and can we redline them?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/legal-privacy-security-questions-and-answers): Click-through terms for Free and Self-serve; Enterprise and commerce schedules cover rates, service levels, data-use terms, attribution windows, and margin reporting and are drafted by your CSM for your signatory, so redlines happen there.
  - [How do splits work when Genuin, my network, and the publisher all take a share?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/media-supply-aggregators-questions-and-answers): Your enterprise agreement sets the reseller share between you and Genuin; a per-publisher split schedule in Network → Partners sets what each publisher brand earns on monetized views of its inventory. Wallets settle per brand so each publisher sees only its own line.
  - [What does Genuin charge on demand we bring ourselves?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/media-demand-aggregators-questions-and-answers): A platform fee under a buyer agreement, with rates from the pricing schedule; direct packages carry the publisher's price plus the fee, and the agreement sets billing per client brand with insertion orders.
  - Related: [Set up programmatic ads in your feeds](https://begenuin.com/developers/browse-by-products/monetize/how-do-we-set-up-programmatic-ads-to-generate-automated-ad-revenue)
- [Sign your agreement and authorize sellers](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/sign-agreement): When you finish, your agreement is executed, your payout details are verified, and the files that tell the advertising ecosystem who may sell your inventory are live. Your part takes about 15 minutes; enterprise signatures depend on your signatory.
  - [What is ads.txt and why can't demand serve until it is green?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/revenue-ad-sales-yield-questions-and-answers): ads.txt on your domain and your entry in Genuin's sellers.json tell buyers who is authorized to sell your inventory; most programmatic demand will not bid without them. BCC generates the lines, crawls daily, and alerts you if a line disappears.
  - [How are payouts verified and scheduled?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/finance-billing-questions-and-answers): Add a bank account or payout provider under Monetize → Payouts; Genuin verifies it with a micro-deposit within two business days. Default is monthly net-30; Enterprise agreements can set custom terms.
  - [What goes in ads.txt and sellers.json for an aggregator?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/media-supply-aggregators-questions-and-answers): Every publisher's ads.txt lists Genuin and your seller ID as intermediaries; sellers.json lists you as INTERMEDIARY with the publisher as the final seller. BCC generates both line sets per publisher brand and checks them nightly.
  - Related: [How plans and pricing work](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/how-plans-and-pricing-work)
- [Activate monetization and see your first revenue](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/activate-monetization): When you finish, demand is serving into your placements, revenue appears in Reports, and you know where to look to raise it. Your part takes about 5 minutes to switch on; first revenue typically shows the same day.
  - [Where does the money actually come from?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/founders-business-owners-questions-and-answers): Six sources: Genuin network revenue share, Paid Partner Posts and Takeovers, programmatic through an ad server, packages listed for buyers and AI buyer agents, subscriptions, and in-video commerce. Most networks start with revenue share and add sources as they grow.
  - [Which demand sources can I switch on and in what order?](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/revenue-ad-sales-yield-questions-and-answers): Genuin network share first, then brand partners (Paid Partner Posts and Takeovers), then programmatic, then commerce and subscriptions. Each is switched on in Monetize → Demand once sellers are verified.

Notes for your choices:

- For Creators & Podcasters: Free plan, network revenue share, click-through; add payout details and switch on Genuin network demand. Subscriptions for a premium group when you pass 500 members.
- For Consumer Brands: Enterprise plan, commerce media schedule with data-use terms and attribution windows. Switch on commerce to your checkout, partners, and programmatic; intent your catalog cannot serve is routed to partner catalogs under your agreement.
- For Online Retailers: Enterprise plan, commerce media schedule with margin reporting. ads.txt on every domain and app-ads.txt on every app. Programmatic through your ad server as system of record; Reports > Margin from day one.
- For Consumer Services: Self-serve plan; network share, or a platform agreement if you will run partner content. Subscriptions for premium education; revenue share offsets hosting.
- For Media & Entertainment: Enterprise plan, managed service agreement; ads.txt for every domain; all demand sources on; Paid Partner packages listed for buyers and over [AdCP](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/adcp-make-your-inventory-discoverable-to-ai-buyer-agents); partner ad server as system of record.
- For Media Supply Aggregator: Enterprise agreement for the aggregator with a reseller share, plus a per-publisher split schedule you set in Network > Partners (see [Choose your monetization agreement](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/choose-monetization-agreement) and [Partner Revenue Splits](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/partner-revenue-splits)). Authorize Genuin and yourself as intermediaries in every publisher's ads.txt and list your seller ID in sellers.json as INTERMEDIARY (see [Sign your agreement and authorize sellers](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/sign-agreement) and [Set up ads.txt and sellers.json](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/set-up-ads-txt-and-sellers-json)). Activate monetization network-wide and read Reports > Network by publisher brand (see [Activate monetization and see your first revenue](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/activate-monetization)).
- For Media Demand Aggregator: Buyer agreement at the account level with a platform fee on demand you bring (see [Choose your monetization agreement](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/choose-monetization-agreement)); each client brand gets its own billing profile and insertion orders in Monetize > Buying. No ads.txt work on your side; verify that publishers you buy from list Genuin (see [Sign your agreement and authorize sellers](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/sign-agreement)). Activate the first package or Paid Partner Post and read delivery, attributed outcomes, and net margin on ad spend per client brand (see [Activate monetization and see your first revenue](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/activate-monetization) and [Margin reporting: revenue per impression and net margin on ad spend](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/margin-reporting-revenue-per-impression-and-net-margin-on-ad-spend)).
- For Developers: You own: switching from the QA key to the Live key at go-live, and the BigQuery sync under Settings > Data Sources that feeds your warehouse.
- For Marketers: You own: paid partnership briefs, offsite ad creatives for the media plan, and reading delivery and completion reports by campaign. Revenue owns the signature.
- For Revenue: You own: the services agreement signature, the payout profile, blocklists, switching on demand sources in order, and reconciling the Monetize dashboard with payouts.
- For Growth: KPI set: lift against your own holdout. Keep paid pacing low at first so relevance builds; revenue share funds growth without a sales motion.
- For Monetization: KPI set: revenue, net margin on ad spend. Sign the services agreement, switch on demand sources in order, and reconcile the Monetize dashboard with your payouts.
- For Onsite: Onsite inventory earns from the Genuin network share by default and from your own partners under a platform agreement. Floors are set per placement along the grid. Reports > Onsite shows watch time per user, return rate, and pages per session against a holdout, so you can read engagement value before revenue. ([Choose your monetization agreement](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/choose-monetization-agreement), [Activate monetization and see your first revenue](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/activate-monetization), [Measure engagement: watch time, lift, and cohorts](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/measure-engagement-watch-time-lift-and-cohorts), [Reading the Relevance dashboard](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/reading-the-relevance-dashboard))
- For Offsite: Offsite is usually spend, not revenue: your media plan buys the placements and Genuin measures the return. Under a commerce schedule, audience extension lets you also sell your segments on offsite inventory at programmatic CPMs. Attribution windows are set in the agreement. ([Choose your monetization agreement](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/choose-monetization-agreement), [Programmatic: Genuin Ad Server or your partner ad server](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/programmatic-genuin-ad-server-or-your-partner-ad-server), [Attribution: closed-loop commerce and conversion forecasts](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/attribution-closed-loop-commerce-and-conversion-forecasts), [Margin reporting: revenue per impression and net margin on ad spend](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/margin-reporting-revenue-per-impression-and-net-margin-on-ad-spend))
- For Monetize: This is the step Monetize owns: choose the agreement, sign, publish ads.txt, verify sellers, switch on demand in order (network, partners, programmatic, commerce, subscriptions), set floors, and read Reports > Revenue the same day. Margin reporting is on for commerce and retail schedules. Packages with outcome blocks (projected RAR, attributed commerce, net margin on ad spend) rank higher and renew on outcomes. - For Network: Distributed views count toward your revenue share; splits with partners are set when the partnership is created. Extended O&O is a managed service agreement with service levels and launch destinations named. Reports > Network shows which groups travel best. - For Control: Advertiser blocklists and competitive exclusions apply across Genuin Ad Server, partner ad servers, and Paid Partner content, and are part of the agreement for retail schedules. Reports > Ad quality shows what each rule costs in eCPM. ([Sign your agreement and authorize sellers](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/sign-agreement), [Blocklists and ad quality controls](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/blocklists-and-ad-quality-controls), [Set moderation and brand safety](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/moderation-brand-safety))
- For Studio: Studio limits are set by plan; Enterprise gets dedicated production lines. Paid Partner briefs can be produced by Studio from the partner's assets, and Adaptation re-cuts for Extended O&O destinations under the managed service agreement. ([Plans explained: Free, Self-serve, and Enterprise](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/plans-explained), [Paid Partner Posts and Paid Partner Takeovers](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/paid-partner-posts-and-paid-partner-takeovers), [Extended O&O: how managed syndication works end to end](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/extended-o-o-how-managed-syndication-works-end-to-end), [Canvas: run your network with growth and monetization agents](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/canvas-run-your-network-with-growth-and-monetization-agents))
- For Supervised Intelligence: Octo drafts packages and proposes floors from margin; Supervised Intelligence resolves in-video intent to your catalog or a partner's and answers [AdCP](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/adcp-make-your-inventory-discoverable-to-ai-buyer-agents) calls as the [Network Sales Agent](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/adcp-discovery-and-network-sales-agent). - For Marketplace: Genuin's own models need no setup; models from other providers run on your own API key under Marketplace > LLMs. Packages, the outcomes you sell to brands and buyers, are part of Monetize (see [Packages: sell outcomes to brands and demand partners](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/packages-sell-outcomes-to-brands-and-demand-partners)).
