# Live & Q&A Placement

A scheduled live player with questions, polls, and replay, hosted by a creator with the Host tier; sessions become Shorts clips automatically.

The Live & Q&A player runs a scheduled session inside your page. Viewers ask questions and answer polls while it's live, and watch the replay after it ends. Studio then turns the session into Shorts clips automatically.

## When to use it

Use it for product drops, AMAs, events, launches, and recurring shows. When Genuin drafts your grid, it assigns Live & Q&A to event and talent pages.

## How it works

- A creator with the Host tier presents. Hosts can go live, pin, feature, and answer Q&A, as [Creator programs and Quests](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/creator-programs-and-quests) describes.
- You schedule sessions under **Communities** > **Live**. An event page can open one specific session.
- During the session, viewers send questions and answer polls. After it ends, the replay stays available for as long as your retention setting allows.
- [Live-to-Clips](https://begenuin.com/developers/browse-by-products/studio/live-to-clips) turns each session into Shorts clips after it ends, with the best questions as hooks. You approve the clips, or let them publish automatically.
- The clips play like any other Shorts, for example in the [Vertical Video Player](https://begenuin.com/developers/browse-by-products/onsite/vertical-video-player-placement).

## Set it up

Octo proposes the placement with these steps already done. You review the result and confirm it.

1. Allow the Live & Q&A experience on the placement. Learn how in [Pick your first player experience](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/pick-player-experience).
2. Give the presenter the Host tier, and schedule the session under **Communities** > **Live**. Learn how in [Invite creators, hosts, and contributors](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/invite-creators).
3. On an event page, point the placement at a specific session, so the page opens that one.

## What it reports

- **Concurrent viewers**: viewers watching the session at the same time.
- **Questions and poll responses**: what viewers sent during the session.
- **Replay views**: views of the session after it ends.
- **Clips generated**: the clips cut from each session, with their engagement.
