# Display partner brand content in embeds and placements

Show content that partner brands share through Network content access in Genuin embeds and placements, without importing or duplicating it.

Partner Content Support for Embeds & Placements lets you display approved content from partner brands on your websites and apps. It builds on your Network relationships and Content Access permissions, so you don't duplicate assets or import content by hand.

Partner content appears only when the partner has explicitly shared access to the relevant communities or social media handles. Your governance stays the same, because Network Content Access decides what you can show. To see how content moves between partners, see [Network: what it does and where to start](https://begenuin.com/developers/browse-by-products/network/network-what-it-does-and-where-to-start).

## How partner content reaches your feed

The feature extends the Network Content Access model. When a partner brand shares content access with your organization:

1. The shared communities become available to you.
2. You can select the partner brand while you configure an embed or a placement.
3. Genuin loads content from the shared communities into the selected feed.
4. The generated embed or placement code shows the partner's content on your website or app.

Only content shared explicitly through Network permissions is eligible. Learn how partners share it in [Manage network invitations, content access, and brand relationships](https://begenuin.com/developers/browse-by-products/network/partners/how-do-i-manage-network-invitations-content-access-and-brand-relationships).

## Add partner content to an embed

Before you start, make sure you have an **Active Network relationship** with the partner brand. The partner must have granted **Content Access** to the required communities or social media handles. You also need permission to create or edit embeds or placements, and the partner's content must be available in the shared communities. If any of these is missing, the partner brand doesn't appear as an option.

1. In your Business Account, go to **Grow** > **On Site** > **Embed**.
2. Click **+ New** to create an embed, or open an existing one.

*Step 2: Click + New to create an embed, or pick one from the Embeds list.*
3. Under **Embed Type**, choose **Brand Feed**, **Community Feed**, or **Group Feed**.
4. Under **Embed Style**, choose **Standard Wall**, **Feed**, or **Carousel**.

*Step 4: Pick the Embed Type and Embed Style as you would for your own content.*
5. Open the **Brand** selector and select the partner brand. Only eligible brands appear.
![The embed editor for Network Feed Test with the Brand selector open, listing partner brands such as Kansas City Star, Us Weekly, and Mcclatchy, with Life & Style and Us Weekly selected.](https://cdn.sanity.io/images/lnrtvsvr/development/821cf2cf3a5041e427cf39d03138e4fd80882fd8-1139x543.jpg)
*Step 5: Only partners connected through your Network relationships are listed.*
6. Preview the feed. Check the posts, images, videos, titles, link-outs, and feed ordering.
7. Save the embed.
8. Click **View Embed Code**, copy the code, and add it to your website or app.

When you choose a partner brand, the feed refreshes automatically and the partner's content becomes available to preview. Only approved and shared content appears.

If the preview shows no content, check that the partner has shared content access for the selected communities. Learn more about embed codes in [Generate an embed code in your Business Account](https://begenuin.com/developers/browse-by-products/onsite/how-do-brands-generate-embed-codes-from-business-account).

## Add partner content to a placement

The same partner brand selection is available when you configure a placement, for both new and existing placements. Learn how to set up a placement in [Build a placement with styles, sections, and variables](https://begenuin.com/developers/browse-by-products/onsite/how-a-brand-can-get-started-with-placements-in-business-account).

## How content access controls what appears

Partner content appears only when the partner has shared it through Network Content Access. Each brand keeps full control over which of its content others can reuse.

For example, Brand A shares Community A with Brand B. Brand B creates an embed and selects Brand B and Brand A. The embed shows only content from Community A, and Brand A's other communities stay inaccessible.

Partner content updates automatically as new approved content becomes available. If a partner removes content access, its content is no longer eligible for your embeds or placements once access is revoked.

In **Holding Company** and **House Brand** relationships, the side that must share everything also shares new communities and social handles automatically. In **Partner** and **Aspire to Partner** relationships, the partner has to opt each new one in. A partner can update content access on an active relationship at any time from **View Details**.

## Link-outs stay as the partner set them

Link-outs don't change when you display partner content. External URLs, promotional links, and calls to action on a partner post work exactly as the partner brand configured them, with no additional configuration.

## Ads and sponsorships stay separate

Partner Content Support shares content only. These configurations aren't shared between brands, and each brand keeps managing them on its own:

- Advertisements
- Sponsored Posts
- Sponsored Takeovers
- Extended O&O campaigns
- Brand-specific monetization settings

Advertisements stay isolated at the brand level. For example, US Weekly content shown in another brand's embed doesn't carry US Weekly's ad configuration. The destination brand's own [ad configuration](https://begenuin.com/developers/browse-by-products/monetize/how-can-a-brand-configure-and-control-ad-monetization-using-presets-in-the-brand-control-center) keeps applying.

[Sponsored posts and takeovers](https://begenuin.com/developers/browse-by-products/monetize/how-do-sponsored-posts-and-takeovers-work-in-placements) and [Extended O&O Destinations](https://begenuin.com/developers/browse-by-products/network/extended-o-o-destinations) run independently of Partner Content Support. This feature only displays partner content through embeds and placements, and existing sponsorship workflows don't change.

## Example: a partner brand feed

Lifestyle & Style (L&S) and US Weekly are connected as partner brands, and US Weekly has shared access to selected communities. An administrator at L&S:

1. Opens an existing embed.
2. Selects **Brand Feed**.
3. Chooses **US Weekly** as the partner brand.
4. Saves the embed.
5. Copies the embed code to the L&S website.

Visitors to the L&S website now see US Weekly's approved posts, with their original titles, media, and link-outs. US Weekly's advertising configuration isn't transferred to the L&S embed.

## Limitations

- **Active relationship required**: You can select only brands that have an Active Network relationship with your organization and have shared content access.
- **Shared content only**: Content Access permissions decide which partner content is available; unshared communities stay hidden.
- **Content, not monetization**: Partner ads, sponsored posts, sponsored takeovers, Extended O&O campaigns, and monetization settings aren't shared.
