# Post to your hub, then curate and schedule to other platforms

When you finish, new videos go to your content hub first and reach YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and the rest on a schedule you set, so your O&O is the source and the platforms are the syndication. Your part takes about 5 minutes to set up; then it is the way you post.

## Before you begin

- The hub is live (see [Launch your first community: your owned-and-operated space](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/launch-first-community)). Connected social profiles from [Upload your videos or connect your social profile](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/upload-or-connect) are already authorized for reading; posting needs one more approval per platform.

## The recommended order

Upload to your hub, let the AI classify, then distribute outward. Uploading to a platform first and importing later works, but you lose the first-party view of the viewers who saw it first and the ability to wrap ads and sponsorships around the original.

![Diagram: the recommended order. You post once: upload a new video to your hub, or record it with the hub’s creator tools. Your hub is the source and system of record: each video is classified into the right group within minutes, you get a first-party view of the viewers who see it first, and ads and sponsorships can be wrapped around the original. From the hub, posts are syndicated to other platforms on your cadence, for example YouTube Shorts the same day, TikTok the next morning, and Instagram and the rest. Each post gets its own cut, caption, and cover, with a link back to your hub. ## What Octo does

![Diagram: six steps in two lanes. Octo: 1, classifies every new video you drop into the hub or record there, and places it in the right group within minutes; 2, proposes which videos to syndicate and prepares the cut, caption, and cover for each platform through Studio, with a link back to the hub on every post; 3, proposes a standing cadence from where your audience is and asks once per platform for permission to post. You: 4, grant posting permission, once per platform; 5, approve the cadence and hold or edit any post; posts go out only after you approve the plan. Octo: 6, reads distribution reports daily and proposes cadence changes when a platform over- or under-performs. Result: one upload, every platform, with your hub as the system of record.](https://cdn.sanity.io/images/lnrtvsvr/development/61f84731b95f061f07055d7b53826dbb043dea04-720x721.svg)
*Octo classifies, prepares, and proposes a cadence; you grant permissions and approve the plan.*

1. From now on, every new video you drop into the hub (or record from its creator tools) is classified by Octo, Genuin's Supervised Intelligence interface, and placed in the right group within minutes.
2. Octo proposes which videos to syndicate and prepares the right cut, caption, and cover for each platform through Studio (see [Studio: produce brand video from podcasts, long-form, and catalogs](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/studio-produce-brand-video-from-podcasts-long-form-and-catalogs) and [Adaptation](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/adaptation)), with a link back to the hub on every post.
3. Octo proposes a standing cadence from where your audience actually is (for example, every new hub video to YouTube Shorts the same day and to TikTok the next morning) and asks once for posting permission per platform.
4. Octo reads Reports → Distribution daily and proposes changes to the cadence when a platform over- or under-performs.

## What you approve

- The platform permissions, once per platform.
- The cadence, and any individual post you want to hold or edit. Posts go out on your schedule only after you approve the plan; you can set groups that publish automatically once you trust it.

## Make Octo smarter

- Tell Octo your posting rules ("never post on Sundays"; "TikTok gets the funny cuts, LinkedIn gets the expert cuts") under Brand → Context; it writes them into the cadence.

**Need help?** Octo is available 24/7 in Brand Control Center (BCC) and on every page of these docs. Ask it in plain language; when the answer needs a person, Octo brings the right account manager, developer, or Ops engineer into the same thread and stays on it until it is solved. Every Business Account owner has this, on every plan (see [24/7 Octo support: how Octo brings in account managers, developers, and Ops](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/24-7-octo-support-how-octo-brings-in-account-managers-developers-and-ops)).

## What you get

- One upload, every platform, with your hub as the system of record.
- Captions, covers, and links back to your hub on every syndicated post.
- A library that keeps growing in one place, which is what the network feeds in [Distribute your feeds across 7K+ apps and sites](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/distribute-feeds-network) draw from.
