# Video Generation

Generates a short-form video with one of your brand's video generation pipelines and imports it into the Genuin communities and groups you choose.

When Video Generation runs, [Octo](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/octo-operates-your-brand-control-center-octo-proposes-you-approve), Genuin's Supervised Intelligence interface in Brand Control Center (BCC), picks the right pipeline from your request and queues a short-form video for your communities and groups. It's an Official Supervised Intelligence capability that Genuin publishes in the [Capability Marketplace](https://begenuin.com/developers/browse-by-products/marketplace/marketplace-what-it-does-and-where-to-start). It runs in the chat, where Octo walks you through it.

## When to use it

Use it when you want a new short-form video made from a source you have. Your brand's pipelines cover formats such as a cinematic car or product showcase, a news short, a podcast clip, or a teaser loop.

## How it works

- You tell Octo in the chat what you want made.
- Octo picks the pipeline that fits your request.
- Octo gathers the source and the generation settings from you.
- You pick the communities and groups that get the video, or Octo picks the best destination.
- Octo queues the generation job, and the video is imported into your destination.
- **Required tools** lists Genuin Curate, which provides the pipelines, models, community search, and import. The capability runs on Genuin's default model.

## Add it to your brand

1. In BCC, go to **Marketplace** > **Marketplace**.
2. Search for Video Generation and click **View and add** on its **Official** card.
3. Check **Required tools** and **Required models**, then click **Add to My Intelligence Capabilities**.
4. If BCC asks **Grant this capability access?**, click **Confirm and add**. This confirms creating or updating your brand's API key for Genuin Curate.
5. On your copy under **My Capabilities**, click **Enable in Intelligence**.

If your brand already has a copy, the card shows **Manage copy** instead of **View and add**. If your brand can't be granted the tools, BCC shows "This capability is not available to your brand".

## Approvals

Video Generation runs without an approval step: Octo asks you for the source, the settings, and the destination in the chat, then queues the job.
