# Genuin Network Revenue Share

Demand from across the Genuin network runs in your placements, and you earn a revenue share with no setup beyond seller verification. It's the floor for every network.

Network revenue share is the first of six demand sources your network can earn from, and you earn from it without a sales team or an ad server. Most networks start here and add sources as they grow.

[Octo](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/octo-operates-your-brand-control-center-octo-proposes-you-approve), Genuin's Supervised Intelligence interface in Brand Control Center (BCC), proposes this capability when it finds a fit on your sites and apps. It completes the steps under Set it up from your brand context. Nothing goes live until you approve it. It's part of [Monetize](https://begenuin.com/developers/browse-by-products/monetize/monetize-what-it-does-and-where-to-start), and [Monetization models on Genuin](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/monetization-models-on-genuin-a-decision-guide) compares it with the other five demand sources.

## When to use it

Use it on every network, from day one. It's the floor: revenue you earn before you add any other demand source. The combinations that cover most networks all start with it.

| Network | Demand sources |
| --- | --- |
| Creator or site | Network share and [subscriptions](https://begenuin.com/developers/browse-by-products/monetize/subscriptions-and-paid-access) |
| Publisher or media company | Network share, [Paid Partner packages](https://begenuin.com/developers/browse-by-products/monetize/paid-partner-post), programmatic, and packages |
| Brand or retailer | All six, with programmatic through a [partner ad server](https://begenuin.com/developers/browse-by-products/monetize/partner-ad-server-integration) and commerce through your own checkout |

## How it works

- The network revenue share agreement covers your share of revenue from Genuin network demand, with no minimums. It's the default for Free and most Self-serve networks.
- The share is set by your agreement type, and you see it under **Settings** > **Plan** before you sign.
- Buyers check your ads.txt and sellers.json before they bid. Without them, most programmatic demand won't bid on your inventory.
- Genuin network demand is the first source switched on, so revenue starts on the first day. Brand partners, programmatic, commerce, and subscriptions follow in that order.
- Inventory monetized through Genuin carries no serving cost. Revenue shares are netted against your payouts, not invoiced.
- Payouts are monthly net-30 by default. Enterprise agreements can set custom terms.

## Set it up

Octo proposes revenue share with these steps already done. You review the result and confirm it.

1. Choose and sign the network revenue share agreement. Only an Owner can sign. Learn how in [Choose your monetization agreement](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/choose-monetization-agreement).
2. Verify sellers, so buyers can validate who's authorized to sell your inventory. Learn how in [Sign your agreement and authorize sellers](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/sign-agreement).
3. Switch on Genuin network under **Monetize** > **Demand**. Learn how in [Activate monetization and see your first revenue](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/activate-monetization).

## Settings

| Setting | What it controls |
| --- | --- |
| Floors | The lowest price each placement accepts, set per placement |
| Paid pacing | How much paid content a viewer sees in one session |

Floors start from your brand safety profile and the placement's context. [Floor Pricing and Yield Rules](https://begenuin.com/developers/browse-by-products/monetize/floor-pricing-and-yield-rules) covers changing them and adding rules by partner, deal type, and daypart.

## What it reports

**Reports** > **Revenue** shows these measures for each placement. [Revenue reporting, payouts, and the Creator Wallet](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/revenue-reporting-payouts-and-the-creator-wallet) explains how revenue is reconciled and paid.

- **eCPM**: the revenue each thousand impressions earned.
- **Fill**: the share of your inventory that demand filled.
- **Revenue by placement**: what each slot on your grid earned.
- **Genuin share and your share**: how revenue splits under your agreement.

Revenue is estimated daily and final within five business days after month end. The first revenue report arrives with three recommended changes to raise it, such as a floor, a placement, or a feed.

## Build on it

Revenue share runs in Brand Control Center, and ads are configured there, not in code. [Go live with monetization in your feeds, apps, and partner pages](https://begenuin.com/developers/developer-resources/sdk/go-live-with-monetization-in-your-feeds-apps-and-partner-pages) covers ads inside your embeds and IAB units in your app. [Receive engagement events in your own analytics](https://begenuin.com/developers/developer-resources/sdk/receive-engagement-events-in-your-own-analytics) sends what members watch to your own analytics. [Query Genuin event data in BigQuery](https://begenuin.com/developers/developer-resources/api/integrate-google-bigquery-with-brand-control-center) runs first queries on the exported events.

The demand source and revenue report calls in the [Business Account API](https://begenuin.com/developers/get-started/any-business/business-account-api-provisioning-oauth-and-the-resource-map) are proposed, not live. [Live API today and the Business Account API roadmap](https://begenuin.com/developers/developer-resources/guides/live-api-today-and-the-business-account-api-roadmap) maps what you can call now to what's planned.
